• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who out there has Removed their Zumo mount and wiring? Use it for USB/phone?

I am just thinking about powering my iPhone. I've got a couple of good riding route apps, so I am good with the phone.

Who out there has Removed their Zumo mount and wiring? Use it for USB/phone?

I have a new to me 2014 RT with 10K miles. The Zumo GPS is old and outdated. Who out there in the Spyder-verse has removed their Zumo mount and wiring? Have any of you used the existing wiring to feed a USB/phone power cable? Give me your advice and experiences. Thanks Philbtv

Noisy Hindle exhaust - any alternatives/suggestions?

Hey BajaRon, Tell me about installing the slip on muffler. I was thinking about buying a HMF for my 2008 GS SM5. Reading the directions online it sounds pretty simple. Is it as simple as they make it sound? Thanks and thanks for the sway bars! It was the first mod I made when I bought my Spyder...

    HMF exhaust

Yeah, I did notice that the posts were from about four years back, but what the heck you responded! Ha. I appreciate the heads up mate. I'll put an original post out to see if I can get a response. I've found a lot of good info on the forum over the years. Good riding to you!

    HMF exhaust

Chris, it looks pretty easy to install. Is it? Thanks. The stock muffler braket bolt fell out on my 2008 today as I pulled into the driveway. After 22K maybe it is time for a new sound.

Hey look! I can see the little triangle at the top of the fuel gage-that I never saw until I did my canisterectomy. Another added bonus! Thanks Ron and Jerry for all the help!

    Canisterectomy

Pilo, There was a gas cap recall in 2010 for caps that would not seal properly. My dealer here in the USA had mine replaced at no cost. I ride an 08 Spyder. Here is a link https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2010/CAN-AM/SPYDER%252520RT Good luck and happy rides!

    FOUND THIS ABOUT TIRES

Tire replacement Thanks AeroP! I am waiting for the local Spyder mechanic to call me back and give me his thoughts too. I appreciate the suggestions. Trying to find that balance between tire wear and good handling - and will I actually notice much of a difference? It all helps so thanks again. Phil

    FOUND THIS ABOUT TIRES

Newbie Tire Question OK, be kind to the new guy here. I've owned my 2008 GS for almost a year. Time to replace the tires. I've read a lot of these tire posts-yes head is spinning. It seems clear to my uneducated mind that auto tires are the way to go. My riding is an occasional day trip on the...
