• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First ride after adding seat gel hoping for more comfort, but nope, no change! What do do? Anybody made theirs better?

Ray, custom seats like Daylong are definitely NOT a crap shoot. They tailor the seat to your height, weight, leg length, arm position etc, and guarantee all day comfort (or refund your money), so they do indeed provide an assurance it will solve your aches. Yes, they are expensive, but it...

Is It OK to Make 500 km On the First Day With a Brand-New 2023 Can-Am RT Limited?

Just as an aside, I had to ride 300kms from my dealer to home with both my new ‘16 F3 and my new ‘21 RT, with the only possible route being on a freeway. Sure, I varied the speed as much as I could, but that wasn’t much. I had zero issues with motor or transmission in the following years. I am...

I just installed Helibars with Lamonster 2" riser plate

Interesting, troop. Clever solution. The Helibars were a little too close and low for me even at their max height setting (after Daylong install). I had to elongate the nub/slot which moved them taller and a little farther away. I could only get away with that due to Gorilla length arms. I...

    Don't look at your investments!!!

We have some pretty smart cookies looking after our Super fund investments out here. I’m pretty sure they will have taken “steps”. The problem with moving investments around is that you have to be right twice. You have to move funds just before a crash, and then move funds again, before the...

2022 F3S with Codes C0031, C00C6, and Limp Mode - what could be wrong?

Yes, it could well be a “furphy”, Dexter, but at least it is something to check, just in case. 👍 Pete

2022 F3S with Codes C0031, C00C6, and Limp Mode - what could be wrong?

Dexter, C0031 is a “Left Front wheel speed sensor failure.” error.🤷🏼‍♂️ Damaged circuit wires or damaged wheel speed sensor or damaged VCM pins. Damaged toothed wheel or air gap too big. Check for damage wheel speed sensor. Check for damage tooth wheel. Disconnect VCM & VSS-1. Measure resistance...

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

It is always good to hear these first hand experiences, rather than theoretical waffle, Clover. Thanks for the feedback👍 Pete

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

Grouchy, The Spyder actually runs car tyres, not motorcycle tyres, mounted on a J type (car) wheel rim. There are a huge number of riders running aftermarket car tyres and there has never been a recorded issue with insurance in an accident. However, only you can make the call as to whether you...

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

Another option is to replace the front 55 aspect Kendas with a 60 aspect aftermarket, Grouchy. I put 165x60 Goodyear Duragrip tyres on mine and that gave me 3/4” extra front clearance on my RT. (I also had aftermarket shocks with 1/4” less sag which gave me 1” extra clearance overall). That...

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

Have a look at Lamonster’s review, Jack... they have indeed put extremely good belt guards on it. He even shows them in his video. But even on the earlier models there are plenty of riders who regularly go off road without issues (by off road, I mean gravel and dirt roads, not 4WD tracks😉) Pete

After owning 3, lack of dealer support is forcing me to give up on Spyders!

Yes Gerald, that was another of the considerations that lead me to parting ways with my RT. It is 5 hours to my nearest dependable dealer (there is one 2.5 hours away, but they are a bit dodgy). Sure, it’s a pleasant backroads ride for a service, but there is always that unexpected breakdown...

My New Comfort Seat Plugs In Where?

So it’s over to you, Sandeejs. Did you order the part number that Troop mentions, or did you buy the unheated version? Pete

Daylight Saving Time - Make sure to adjust your Spyder clocks - Spring Ahead!

You don’t say which model or year you have, Happy, but I assume it is pre 2018 or so. They finally got the clocks working accurately around then. (My ‘16 F3-L clock was just like yours) Pete

2022 OEM RT S2S seat versus redone Russell Day Long seat.

They usually put some extra height in to ensure the correct knee angle twixt bum and ankle, Troop 👍 (twixt? I don’t have a clue what made that word pop into my head.)😆😆 My seat was quite a bit higher to assist with 37” inleg. Pete
