• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a mildly annoying problem while riding - phone won't bluetooth when plugged in to charge - are there any iPhone experts out there who can help?

I discovered this problem just last Friday. Fortunately I have the SpyerExtras docking station with a USB (A) port. Plugged into that and I was good to go. However, probably not the best option should it start to rain. Ordered a set of the data blockers @Bfromla mentioned (thank you!) Simple...

You knew it had to come - there's a Chinese Spyder!

Kenda tires and only 30 mpg so no improvements there. RM78,888 price according to one search I did. Converts to ~$19,000. I'm with ollicat... not impressed. But glad to see someone else is trying for a reverse trike.

Need some advice about a suitable cover sturdy enough to protect my Spyder if left outside for several months?

Does my Spyder have a bell? Is it to warn of changing gears?

Any chance this happened around 2PM? Near a church with a bell tower? There is/was a visual shift indicator that I never paid attention to, but I've never known there to be an audible warning. Or any other sort of bell sound.

    My unscientific noise study

Quick side note: I run sound at my church. Complaints that something is "too loud" often have nothing to do with volume. It simply means they didn't like something... the song, or a particular instrument, or person's voice. One thing that is simple, hearing loss is a one way street. It may be a...

Looking for Navigation options besides ACP - What do you recommend?

I've been using some version of a Garmin since I started riding motorcycles in 2007. Zumo XT2 currently. Had hoped the ACP thing on the Spyder would replace the need for a Garmin but that hasn't been the case for me. And though many people use just a handlebar mounted phone without problems...

A post from Lamont on FB...

" don't judge me as a quitter" - It upsets me that Lamont even had to think of typing those words. That there would be people out there who would judge. May God bless your remaining time on this terrestrial ball. I think you've made a good choice. Another song comes to mind... This world is...

Any suggestions on good Ear protection for lowering wind noise?

I've been using Moldex Rockets for a few years now and just ordered a few more. I'm a fan of the triple tree structure, having formerly used the yellow 3M version (which also went by some other names that I don't remember). They are comfortable for me and almost impossible to put in my ears...

Where can I find this 80 Amp alternator fuse?

Picture of the cover and the fusible link. It took the dealer several weeks to get the part and I couldn't wait so I have a substitute in place from Autozone and these are waiting for a time when it rises high enough on my priority list to put the official one back in. The sub has been good for...

Where can I find this 80 Amp alternator fuse?

I don't see which year and model you are working on other than the engine size so my reply may be off base. On a 2024 Spyder RT Limited, the fuse is to the left of the battery if your reference is the standard sitting on the bike position. Or to the right of the battery if you're looking at it...

28k Service - I must rant about my experience

Thanks in advance for bearing with me. Took my 24 RT Limited to my Portland, OR dealer for the 28k service (which I've reached at 2 years). Asked for confirmation that the coolant replacement was included since I had discovered a slight leak at the lower radiator hose connection. They noted the...

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

For my years on two wheels, Alpinestars Web Goretex were great boots. But upon moving to a 2024 RTL with the massive floorboards, I found that there was little or no airflow to my feet. In even moderately hot weather, my feet were cooking. Grabbed some BILT Pro Tourer Air Boots from Cycle Gear...
