• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Buying an RT cup holder as a gift. Handlebar size question.

I have this mount and the supplied hose clamps are too short to reach around the RT handlebar. But for an easy fix go to the nearest parts store and get a large hose clamp (yes it is big!) and just cut the excess off. I left enough free end to slip into the rubber sleeve provided with the mount...

    RT Weight distribution

Front vs rear weight is important for people building a custom trailer for towing a Spyder. Most car manufacturers publish the weight ratios for their cars. It has nothing to do about what is loaded on the bike it is how weight distribution affects the loading and towing. Most cars have a ratio...

    Russian car commercial

Too bad the skaters didn't do a lift or a spin. That would have been interesting. Still a nice video and kudos to the drivers it isn't easy to control a vehicle on ice.

Has this been seen before here?

Interesting that he doesn't mention the fact it still accelerates away with two up no less.

    What does the Fox say?

Actually it isn't that bad... Just change every lyric to make a real story, he at least sings fairly well. It would be a good song for kids. We had "Old McDonald" I guess E-I-E-I-O was the first in unusual lyrics about animals.

Maybe I'm thick headed... Help me understand

Unfortunately a good front end alignment won't do much for the rear tire. Tire wear is based on a lot of variable from road surface roughness to driving technique. The rear tire is aligned with the belt to keep it centered. But getting the front tires aligned with the rear tire thrust angle will...

Maybe I'm thick headed... Help me understand

Alignment Fortunately I have the service manual and have read the alignment procedure recommended by the factory. They recommend the front be jacked up and put on jack stands as close to the frame as possible. The front has no load and at full extension. They remove the front wheels and use the...

    Broken Bones

I broke my left arm as a kid running from a angry bull, I grabbed for a limb in a tree to climb and it snapped off. I fell and my arm snapped. The bull ran up to me as I lay on the ground and with a big snort snotted me and walked off. I broke a femur in high school football. I heard he still...

Best solution for leg heat problem on RT

Just a though... Maybe a canister of some sort. Use that heat to as a hot air popcorn popper. ( I know I'm no help and a bit of a smart :cus: ss but it just popped into my head) Years ago people used engine heat to cook meals on road trips. Seems like the Spyder is a perfect candidate. Burrito...

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK,,, REAL OR PUT ON

Completely staged. It uses the standard story telling technique taught in Film school. Set the scene, scan the set, provide a foreground distraction, position the actors, get an action shot and fade. The ukulele player isn't playing, the lady knows exactly where he is positioned so she can grab...

Spyder (Red Dragon) will not do anything!

I agree! I had the exact same problem. My battery voltage was 9.3 volts. I tried charging it but it wouldn't take a charge so I went to the local battery shop and we did a load test. It failed miserably so I popped in a new battery and everything is back to normal. I also took the opportunity...

    Laser alignment in Ca.?

I've been reading a lot about the new laser alignment being done and how it seems most Spyders are in dire need to get adjusted. But, it seems there is no support in California. I called my local dealer and asked about alignment but they couldn't even find it in their flat rate manual, of course...

"Blackhole" at the rear of the saddle

I was changing my factory saddle out with a new aftermarket seat and I looked to see that dreaded blackhole and it appears to be just a depression so I didn't see the hole in the front of that depression until I hear the tink tink tink of my right seat bolt disappearing into the singularity. I...

    RAAF F-111 Belly Landing

And Pappazippy chimes in! Yup yup love that beast I spent my 8 Air Force years as a crew chief on the F-111A models. Went to war with them in Thailand. (Bruiser knows:)). Spent a lot of time in the wheel well laying in the speed brake contemplating life in general, then fire up my hipack and...
