• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Communication devices do you use between rider/pillion & other riders in your group?

Cardo packtalk, interfaces nicely with wife’s hearing aids and nice long battery life.

What was your best Upgrade/Add-on to your Spyder???

Backrest, car tires, and speedbleeders in that order. Pending is airbox delete kit and front shocks.

Where do you store your Cell phone??

In my LH jacket pocket. Whether on 2 wheels or three, if I part company with the bike, I’d rather my phone is on me should I need assistance.

Anyone using Sheep Skin for Driver's Seat? If so, any input?

We repurposed our original sheepskin from our Wing. Cut it in two for driver and pillion, looks as if it was made for it. Two pieces so nothing fiddly with the backrest. Get one and enjoy, winter and summer.

Most amount of miles/KM you have ridden in one day on the Spyder

My contribution Well, aside from an Ironbutt, Bunburners, and all that, the first summer we had the machine (2011) we rode from Charleston SC to Moberly MO, one whack, 924 miles. Didn't have the trailer yet, so packing was interesting. Would I do it again? Yes, not midsummer in the midwest though!

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Finally out of hibernation/long maintenance time. Sorted out the coolant leak, oil change, mirror magnets, general clean, and inspection while the Tupperware was removed. Out for a short jaunt and all is well right now.

    Passenger fell asleep!

Wife would fall asleep regularly, depending upon length of the ride. Armrests bungeed together and she can relax. And take it all in or not.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Out and About again! Reassembled and brought it out of maintenance/hibernation. The Spyder, not the wife.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Finally got it back out and about after about a year. Not much of a run, blew out cobwebs (literally) and monitored for coolant leaks, none. Now on to intake mod and a good deep clean. Oh, and order a Kriket prior to rear tire replacement. David

Has anyone used Hippo Hands on their Spyder?

Yes,absolutely used them on our 2011 RTS. Used the hippo hands up front ,with heat on could use a less bulky glove. Used some ATV knockoff hippo hands over the heated passenger grips as well. Worked a treat as they say.

So called "Weather Balloon" - what are your thoughts??

Good shot, Val. Hey maybe we should send Jim Cantore to wherever that ballon came from. From my time in Charleston and elsewhere on the East coast, every time I saw him on tv, it had hit the fan. Cheers, David

C1282 fault on 2012 RT - any simple fixes?

Peter is spot on in his description of Spyder brake master cylinders. I’d be willing to wager that almost everyone that has ever done brakes on our machines has run in to one seemingly unrelated alarm after another. Read and heed our advice from down under. David
