• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    The 'Full Synthetic' Myth Exposed

Roger, I get the 5 Qt jug at Walmart. The only markings in small lettering are ACEA A3/B3. I rember, about 4 years ago that I called Mobil 1 and an engineer told me that it was AOK to run in my Diesel tractor. I had put about 500 hours on it by the time I sold it to a friend, still runs like a...

    The 'Full Synthetic' Myth Exposed

Roger, not a slightest problem with wet clutches. I have used it in all my motorcycles and in my Spyder for at least 15 years.

    The 'Full Synthetic' Myth Exposed

All I know is that we used Mobil 1 fully synthetic in our Airhead racing BMW's in our race bikes. Bought it at Wall Mart on our racing trips all around the USA where even on tight tracks that would not provide a lot of hi speed 160 MPH or so streights to help cool the air cooled BOXER twins that...

Thoughts on my first SS1000 with the Spyder

80-85 MPH is a nice crusing speed on the Spyder way out in the wide open spaces of Nevada, Utah and the like out west. Much higher on my 1600 BMW...

87 Octane seems to work just fine

Living at a 4,700 ft elevation and riding even at higher elevations, never have run anything other than regular even when running at near Sea Level, especially in the summer.

I'm even more of a Spyder fan than I was before

What an absolutely interesting and enjoyable thread. Brings back so many memories. I'll be 83 this march. Just realized after reading this that my adventure with Gas Powered rides started when I was about 9 or 10 years old. Somehow my dad helped me to buy a used Cushman Truckster from the...

Interesting conversation at the gas pump - asked why I chose to ride a Spyder rather than 'a real motorcycle'?!

I have probably had as many complements on my Spyder F3L in the 2 years as I have had it as I've had on the many BMW's that I have owned since 1972. I'm really surprised about the very many complements I get, a lot of them from previous motorcyclists wanting to ride again.

New to Mesa AZ and looking for service 2014 Spyder RT. Any trusted dealers in the area?

Independent shops can be worth their weight in Gold. BajaRon's and Lamonster's are excellent and I mean excellent examples. I wish big time that they were closer to Alamogordo, New Mexico...
