• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cruise Control Headache (RTS) - Goes ON, but will not engage! Any ideas?

Thanks again for all the advice. Turns out it was a wiring issue. "Mr. Spyder", Reggy Tan found the issue and made the repair.

'16 RTS Rear Trunk Lid STUCK in closed position. Solution???

Sadly, the cable was broken...so....out came the hammers and physically removed the old latch & replaced with a new one. The solution suggested using screwdriver inserted in left latch did NOT have any effect on my '16. Again thanks to all for the suggestions and kind thoughts....yes, it was a...

I appreciate your advice. "If the ECM has debounce logic I doubt it's longer than 50ms." Translation please. :dontknow:

Cruise Control Headache (RTS) - Goes ON, but will not engage! Any ideas?

I believe you move the switch to the right to turn it on.... once your speed is attained, a quick push down sets the speed... thereafter a quick push up on the switch increases the speed, and a quick push downward reduces speed.

Cruise Control Headache (RTS) - Goes ON, but will not engage! Any ideas?

Yes, it has worked well for over 1200 miles. Hmmm....I have to work on that, but it's an excellent, pragmatic approach to verify. Thanks for the suggestion.

Cruise Control Headache (RTS) - Goes ON, but will not engage! Any ideas?

Many thanks for all your ideas/possible solutions. It's not a matter of trying to set the cc at lower rpms...I don't do that. I recently had the rear TricLEDs reworked, and added a brake flasher unit. The suggestions y'all offered that any change to the braking system could be the culprit...

Cruise Control Headache (RTS) - Goes ON, but will not engage! Any ideas?

Short history: Bought this '16 RTS in January (15,000 miles on it). After putting a little over 1,000 miles on it, the Cruise will not engage. It indicates "ON" but will not engage. Which fuse controls this? Any other DIY solutions? Thanks in advance for your experience & help.

What's the consensus on Kenda KR 20 rear tires? Better than stock?

I'm curious....what is your personal recommendation in an American tire for your RT? Thanks.

'16 RTS Rear Trunk Lid STUCK in closed position. Solution???

OK...new thread here. I've found several threads here focusing on this problem. It seems the advice offered thus far works on SOME RTs. For some reason the '16 is different?? I know this is undoubtedly the most creative, problem-solving group of Ryders on the planet. So... :dontknow:

How to open rear trunk, if won't unlatch with handle.

WELL...it sure sounded like it should work. Tried it this morning on my '16 RTS...no luck! I think I'm going to start a new thread (link below) & see what comes of that. At least it doesn't prevent me from riding...

How to open rear trunk, if won't unlatch with handle.

Back panel tab not seated. Raised panel puts tension on latch. Trunk won't open. Take a standard 2" putty knife, the flexible kind. Slip in the center of the gap above the latch and below the trunk lid. Insert until you can press the black inner panel with the hole in it for the back panel tab...

How to open rear trunk, if won't unlatch with handle.

I saw this conversation about rear trunk stuck closed & you noted the "fix" suggested did not work on your '16 RTY. I am having the same problem with my '16. How did you get yours open? Thanks!

Radio... requesting "hints" on removing old & adding new settings??

Just got a '16 RTS & having a struggle with audio settings. I'm an avid NPR listener so need to have the best "talk radio" settings that allow me to hear their conversation. So far, no luck. Any of you veterans have a hint or two for me? Also...I got this RTS from out of state, so naturally...
