• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

wont start with rear tire on the ground

ok guys i got the spyder back just in time for memorial day and the tech showed me the centrifugal clutch and he said that BRP upgraded the part. he said something to do with the bearings wearing out prematurely, so the new part is much more durable. Also he told me that every 8 -10 months i...

wont start with rear tire on the ground

Update, it's been a week and half, and the dealer is waiting on the warranty company to verify if the centrifuge clutch is covered. On another note pro power sports of Conroe has a horrible staff in service. I have to call them to get information on my vehicle and most times they wouldn't...

wont start with rear tire on the ground

No. Because the thing starts and runs fine off the ground. I ran through the gears while it was jacked up. The centrifuge clutch is probably my problem, don't know how though because I shift between 4-5k rpms and and the shifting is just a push of a button. It will be at the dealer for at...

wont start with rear tire on the ground

Mileage on the bike is about 33k. The oil I used had been BRP brand and used Amsoil a few times. Amsoil was too pricey so I reverted back to BRP

wont start with rear tire on the ground

Ok guys here is an update from dealer. The centrifuge clutch went out, which is why when the bike is off the ground the rear wheel spins and you can shift through the gears. When the bike is back on the ground, the weight of the bike stalls the engine. Had anyone ever heard of this on a SE5...

wont start with rear tire on the ground

Ok guys, got a new battery and nothing has changed. I ruled out fuel and spark so that leaves air which means the throttle bodies or something related to the throttle bodies. They were never changed by the way. I did notice that when I shifted into first with the air box removed, the...

wont start with rear tire on the ground

Well guys, I jacked it up again and it would barely start and the low battery indicator on the dash was illuminated. First time i saw that on the spyder. I also had my wife rev it up to 4k (rpms) and had my voltmeter terminals attached to the battery and the volts stayed at 10. The voltage...

wont start with rear tire on the ground

I thought about the battery but then that doesn't explain why it starts when is off the ground. The continuity issue maybe something to exlore. Besides the negative terminal under the seat are there any ground locations in the rear? When the spyder shutdown there is no codes. The only code...

wont start with rear tire on the ground

This started happening after my oil n filters being changed. Before that though the gear box was acting up. Flashing R & N on the dash, it wouldn't shift to first coming to a stop, it will stay in 2nd. Only codes that's came up were if I remember correctly was u1201 pointing to the GPS but...

wont start with rear tire on the ground

My RT with 32k on the clock wont start with the rear tire completely on the ground. The dash flickers and it won't start. The peculiar thing is when I jack up the rear tire and it is completely off the ground, the bike starts up as normal. Also when the rear tire is on the ground and I try to...

    14000 MIle Check Up

My spyder RT has about 24,000 miles and i haven't taken it in for its various check ups yet. Just regular oil changes and regular cleaning of the K&N air filter. I'll probably take it in sometime next year.

    Conroe dealer?

I have purchased my spyder from this dealership and the sales experience was excellent but I can’t say so much for the service. I had a issue with my air compressor and it took them 2 weeks to figure out what the problem was and on my first visit there for the compressor I told them that...

Best Way to Route Audio Feed

I know exactly what you’re talking about SM. I did this to my RT because I wanted to have my media player up front and in the middle of the handlebars so I can change tracks. I ran a 3.5mm audio jack about (10-15 feet long) from the truck, under the passenger back rest, under the driver’s seat...

    RT no start

So do i springc, i'm picking it up this afternoon and i have some questions for Matt. 1-How could a new air compressor cause a computer glitch when during the install, the motorcycle should've been turned off/not running? 2-If there was indeed a computer glitch, then why would the motorcycle...

    RT no start

Just received a call from Matt at Propower and the problem has been fixed. The problem per Matt was a computer glitch. The glitch must’ve occurred when they installed the new air compressor unit for the air suspension. We will see tomorrow if everything is AOK as Matt says it is. The...
