• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Soon to be 53 and an avid motorcyclist for the vast majority of my life. I've had a fantastic career in IT and have an extensive background in electronics/electrical. I am also a fair mechanic and not afraid to tear into an engine or two. I have had many well documented "How To" articles published in print and on sites like "Goldwing Docs .com" and "Goldwing Facts .com". I have been a huge supporter and contributor to these resources. I am also a photographer and usually provide many high quality pictures with my articles.

I primarily ride Goldwings and service them as well. I have restored a few from the frame up including engine rebuilds. To be clear and open... I do NOT own a Spyder.

Before my current job we averaged about 22k km (about 13500 miles) a year traveling. Not so much now. :(

However...

My wife does ride, does not have a Spyder BUT wants one. She has had a few bikes in her end of the stable, 1100 Virago, Silverwing, and a few others. She is becoming, or should I say has become very uneasy being on two wheels. Thus, the search for a Spyder has started.

I tend to research the crap out of anything I do and this will be no different. I am a firm believer that the only stupid or silly question is the one that's not asked. I will have a bunch I am sure. Please be gentle.
