• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    rear brakes

Rear brake life My rear pads died about the same time as my back tire, right around 12k miles. I had taken both the pads and tire past limits, so probably more like 10k would have been better. Changing them isn't hard, but I think Scotty's right. Yours sound like they've gone too soon.

Anonymous Donates so Original Grip Buddies Can Become a Sponsor

 I ordered mine on Saturday, shipping confirmation on Monday and in my hands on Thursday, a day ahead of expected. Super service going from coast-to-coast! Installed in minutes, and feel great so far. We've got a 5k mile trip starting next week, so they'll get a stress test. I like...

    New maint. schedule

Oil change required to get the panel I checked with my dealer a couple of days ago. The letter I got said to "present the voucher at your next maintenance". I took the spyder in for the brake pin recall, and asked if they could give me the panel. Answer is NO. Their directive from BRP...

    Too tall for the Spyder?

I looked into the comfort seat as soon as my dealer had one. I'm 6'4" with a 36" inseam, and the comfort seat would have helped enormously. But, that two inches comes out of the wife's space. BRP lists a new part number for the passenger backrest that everyone thought would give the two inches...

    BUDS should be free!

So I'm coming up on my 2 year/12,000 mile service and reading the shop manual about changing the brake fluid. According to the book changing the fluid and bleeding the brakes can not be done without using BUDS for a part of the bleeding procedure, and again to clear fault codes. Since BRP won't...

    Spyder RT rider reviews

Get BEST Tiger, I'll echo most everything you see here. I put 10,000 on my 2010 in only eight months. All of that was local/comuting with no big road trips. I had quite a few problems, but almost all of them were fixed under waranty. From what I can tell most of the problems are not being...

    LaMonster cut on Corbin seat

Shorten the 'shield Quote, "Lowering the riding position would make seeing over shield worse." I wouldn't let the 'shield height deter you. They sell the 2011 factory windshield {about 2" shorter than a '10} in the accessories catalog, as well as a touring version. I think the touring is a...

    2012 RT LTD comfort(?) seat

Comfort seat experience? Has anyone actually sat on this thing yet? Is there any room left for the passenger, if the driver sits two inches further back?

2010 RT reliability and other questions.

More replies CyncySpyder, I think you're absolutely right as regards the learning curve. I can definitely say that the service from my dealer has improved over time. I haven't seen the cracked windshield problem yet. NancysToy, On the loose switch cluster I might take a look myself to...
