• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DID Make My Mind up! - Big D's Mighty Red Baron has Arrived!

Be sure you order the left-hand drive model for riding on the wrong side of the road... I rode two-wheel as a youngster, mostly off-road and way too fast. I enjoyed getting "air" and flying over the humps at the time. Obviously, my Spyder is not the vehicle for that. My preference for the...

Is the ST2 Flashing Brake Light System Plug'n'play on 2020+ RT?

Tiny2 has really great advice. I'd like to add what I've discovered recently about the ST2 Brake Module... My first purchase of the ST2 Brake Module was a disaster. I could NOT get it to do anything but flicker annoyingly whenever the Spyder was ridden. Accelerate, decelerate, all was the...

Is BRP GO cell phone connection any improvement over BRP CONNECT?

I really can't find a reason to use BRP Connect. Yes, it "integrates" Rever, for instance, but you can't DO anything with it. You can't use it to guide you on a preplanned route, you can't get directions from it, you can't really do anything but see a dot (you) on a map. It really dumbs down...

Anyone heard any Rumors on 2024 Spyders, All models?

Oh, how I wish this were true. I learned that Audi made a 3-cylinder turbocharged 1.2L TDI engine and I think it would make a fantastic powerplant for the Spyder RTL. They'd have to beef up the clutch and drive for the incredible torque produced by a diesel, but it'd probably get 80 mpg at...

First road trip coming up - any last minute Words of Wisdom?

1K miles sounds too short. It takes 700 miles just to get from New Braunfels to Moriarity. I'm heading there for Memorial Day and plan to do some riding in the mountains in NM. But day trips for me -- I'm trailering my baby the 700 miles there and back. -- Joe

Parking Brake light stays on - is the brake module failing... again?

But not TOO full! If they're too full you may get a brake failure indication (brake icon with ! light during driving). How do I know these things? My Spyder came topped up -- ALL the way up -- and I got the error. I siphoned out enough fluid to get back to the "max" line and all was well again.

Getting the Itch for a Spyder Stinger Trailer to Haul my RTL - any Pros/Cons?

But lightly used I got it for $3800. It just depends on luck and availability.

Getting the Itch for a Spyder Stinger Trailer to Haul my RTL - any Pros/Cons?

There are several folding trailer designs. I found a lightly used 6x10 aluminum Apogee Adapt-X trailer that's perfect for my RTL. It folds up to a 3 foot width, so the Stinger may be a little more compact folded. On the other hand, mine is a flatbed 6x10 and can haul anything. I would have...

Email from BRP about Horsepower for Ski-Doos - why not Spyders too?

Well, one reason might be the propensity of Spyders to overheat as they are. Here in central Texas our summer temps are often over 100º which really stresses the cooling system of a Spyder. Snowmobiles don't have that problem. Just a guess.

Is the ST2 Flashing Brake Light System Plug'n'play on 2020+ RT?

NOT the same thing. The TricLED/Slingmods brake "modulator" is not the same thing AT ALL. Yes, it's easier to install. But it doesn't do anything I need. The ST2 "smart brake module" actually activates the brake lights when you DECELERATE, it does NOT need you to press the brake pedal to...

Anyone got Pics of a Spyder on a 6x10 trailer?

    Here's a 6x10 Apogee Adapt-X 600 carrying my 2022 Spyder RTL

My first ride in the rain

So. First time riding in rain. Luckily I was on a road with a 30 mph speed limit and the rain wasn't TOO heavy. With rain on the Spyder windshield and on my helmet visor, it was really hard to see what was going on. Any suggestions from experienced drivers? Could I use my RejeX safely on...

Not a crisis topic - just Old Age and a new curiousity - 50mph 'feels' faster...

It's probably those 22-in wheels you got to bling your ride.

Is the ST2 Flashing Brake Light System Plug'n'play on 2020+ RT?

ST2 Brake module install. Not exactly. You need to find and tap three wires to install it. I bought the module but have not installed it yet on my 2022 Spyder RTL. I plan to, tho. I think it's an awesome idea. I also bought the turn signal canceller but the built in one works well enough I...

    More Dealer/BRP issues

My dealer didn't check the lug nuts. I ALMOST lost the right front wheel. One lug nut was gone, one was spinning on the threads, almost gone, and one was at least more than "finger tight". Bottom line -- check EVERYTHiNG on your new Spyder!
