• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

It wasn’t today but this week. I loaded it up at Boyne Fall, Michigan, to where I had ridden it from Dallas, Tx. I took the scenic route to Ludington, MI. Spent the night before riding US 10 to Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Yes, US10 across Lake Michigan aboard the SS Badger the last non tourist...

Rear tire mileage - How are you people getting 10,000 + miles on Kenda tires?

I was talking rear tires. I went with a car tire on the rear the last time. The front OEM tires had 20,000+ miles with a little left when I replaced them.

What are these Brake pad "liners" called and where can we order new ones?

I bought my Spyder with 1,400 miles on it. The front rotors were already badly warped. Finally at 22,000 miles I got off my A to replace rotors & pads with EBC. I know with many things automobile related, the supplier meets the standards set by the automobile manufactures, including price...

What portable air compressor/jump starter do you use when touring?

Cycle Pump. Added 12v plug wired to support its current draw. NOCO I think it is a 40. I check the charge regularly, just do pay attention the size since I bought it. I also carry a larger one in each of my cars

Not Full Disclosure, Sway Bar Install

Which one is better is not my complaint. I bet they are both are fine. My complaint was the install of LMG links without consulting me. No one has the right to install something on any of my property without my consent.

Not Full Disclosure, Sway Bar Install

I was to be up to the Springfield, MO, area from Dallas on September 30. A few weeks earlier I called La Monster Garage for a Ba Ja Ron sway bar install and laser alignment. I reconfirmed by email the date, time, and a BJR sway bar install. It was confirmed by LMG. The sway bar does make a...

My (son's) New Tiger 900 Rally Pro

Good motorcycle. Before I bought the RTL, I had one for 22,000 miles of touring with a few hundred miles off road on the Trans Labrador Highway.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Take the course anyway. You will learn/relearn. I did it, which included sidecar, and learned a few things. You’ll still have your MC endorsement.

Rear tire mileage - How are you people getting 10,000 + miles on Kenda tires?

New Kanine rear tire, not much if any difference. OEM rear 6,763. Kanine 7,404. OEM fronts 16,800 so far. Still 6/32 remain. I’ll go with the Vredesteins when I replace them.

Anyone in Northern Texas area installing Car Tires on Spyders?

Thanks. Houston isn't so far. I just don't like going there, but I have, and I may need to for tires.

Annoyingly, my '21 RTL will only cancel Cruise by touching the brake pedal or downshifting - are there any other ways?

Rolling the throttle on my previous 2 wheel was very convenient. I wish my 2022 RT had that feature. I have adapted. Here I go complaining about the luxury of an electronic cruise. I rode many miles without cruise. Guess I need to appreciate what I have now.

Anyone in Northern Texas area installing Car Tires on Spyders?

Thank you Ron. I can take the fronts off, get new tires mounted, and I can reinstall. The rear is my main issue. I completely agree with the impact gun thong. They tend to over torque lugs nuts on automobiles also. Peter, thanks for the heads up. It sure sucks though. With all the vehicles and...

Anyone in Northern Texas area installing Car Tires on Spyders?

Is there any one in Northern Texas or Southern Oklahoma installing car tires on the rear? Not just mounting them on the rim, but removing & installing them on the Spyder (an RT)? I’m hoping to find an installer closer to North Dallas than Eastern Tennessee.
