• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

VSS fault - Spyder not starting

sorry I didnt post a conclusion from last year... but to get it working, I ended placing the ballasts in areas where it's not touching the frame and I used a lot of wire loom to keep the wires away from the frame... and I must have had a bad bulb, so I used another set from a different company...

09 RS - HID question answered

for my lights to not cause any problems, I ended using different bulbs... and not letting the ballasts and wires not touch any part of the frame... too much electrical interference from the ballasts was my guess... but the Spyder works fine now... Good Luck!!!

HID light install and stalling question...

I was having issues with the HIDs from ESI, I have the HIDs for headlight and foglights... I added the ground wire to coil ( I think???), which custom dynamics suggested I do, made sure the ballasts didnt touch any metal... and used bulbs from another company in the foglights and now it works...

Hey Raptor, Took that ride but started at the 84, then to the 1, and back up the 92, to the 35 all the way down to Saratoga... what a blast... the weather was perfect, no fog, no wind... the Spyder handled well on those turns, still have the old DPS though... dealer says I have to wait...

    LUBRICANT OIL

Well, my oil level is at the add mark... ill just add the mobile1 4t to get back at the safe level, then just use all synthetic oil at the next oil change... thanks for the info!

    LUBRICANT OIL

I'm guessing with only 900 miles on the oil filter that it would still be good... I'm just thinking the sooner I can get the synthetic oil in, the better off the bike will be...

    LUBRICANT OIL

How many miles should I wait till I can put synthetic oil? I have about 1500 miles... I had the oil changed at 600 miles and I know they put the blended oil in there, but I want to drain the oil and switch it to synthetic (Mobile 1 4T)... is it possible to just drain the oil from the crank case...

    Kewlmetal Filter

i just put something like dynamat (http://www.aboutsecurityconcepts.com/Stinger_Roadkill_Sound_Dampening_Door_Kit_p/rkxdk.htm) on the panels surrounding the engine... and the sound came down a lot... in some areas i had to double up it up... good luck:2thumbs:
