• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many miles on your current Spyder?

First Spyder 2009 used purchased used in 2011 with 650 miles, traded in 2018 47000 trouble free miles. 2017 F3 purchased new in April 2018 15000 miles with no problems so far.

2019 limited rt no stable ride on interstate.

I ride interstate quite a bit and encounter semi trucks regularly. I ride an f3s with all stock suspension and find the bike little bothered by semi wind. Your body feels the buffeting and if you try to overgrip you will cause the bike to sway off course: try to keep the handlebars pointed...

    Where is Al Gore

Think Don't confuse politics with science. Polluting the atmosphere is not a good idea regardless of "global warming". Look at some of the Chinese cities where one can barely breath. Don't tease the bear!

I really want to like this bike...

Carful about adding extras too soon! I ride a 2009 purchased used 5 1/2 years ago with under 600 miles on the clock. I had never been on a Spyder but liked the idea. I rode it home 75 miles, a little bit on the interstate and the rest on curvy Missouri roads. It went where I steered it...

    BRAKE FAILURE!!

Brake warning. Check your brake fluid level. Very sensitive, even a tablespoon low will cause intermittent warning.

Spyderpops Heat Shield For RS - What Gives?

Mine too My heat shield fell off and I didn't notice exactly when; so my experience tells me it didn't do much to reduce heat. To be fair, when I purchased the Spyder used it had aftermarket floorboards that required the removal of some "tupperware" which may have directed more heat to the...

SM or SE? What and why did you choose?

Depends I drive a 6 speed manual sport coupe and a manual trans spyder. I have owned auto trans and much prefer manual trans for driving fun. If you have never driven a manual trans vehicle it may seem strange, but after a while shifting is just automatic and traffic or stop and go is not an...

    Bad Key

I own a 2009 RS with 23,000 miles, all trouble free. In the past two months a strange issue has emerged. After shutting down for a period of time, but still warm, the Spyder won't start. The key is on, the normal message about safety is displayed and cleared by pressing the mode button. I...

    Pitbull Powersports

I guess my eyesight is failing, but nowhere have I seen the address of Len's new dealership in Springfield, MO. Is there a web sight or phone number yet? Springfield is a lot closer for me than Cowtown but I have no complaints at all about Cowtown's service as it has always been more than...

    floorboards

Floorboards These look like the ones on my 2009. They were installed when I bought the Spyder used. The installation required cutting away part of the body work resulting in a lot of heat on the right foot. They are so close to the brake and shift lever as to make them useless for all...

    Problem free how long?

Reliability Purchased 15 months ago, used, with 570 miles on the odo (2009 RS) now has 16,000 + miles. Never stranded, one code for dps right after front tires were rotated, occuring on a sharp curve at high speed. Reset the dash and has not happened since. All recalls were done before I...

If I had designed the Spyder

Why buy it? Point one, its a SPORT bike; if you wanted a tourer you should have purchased one. I like the leg position. Point two, putting the radiator and oil cooler up front would have compromised the front trunk space. Heat is not nearly as big an issue as this forum would have you...

    Opinion please!

? Who cares, save the gripe for something important. The dealer gives you nothing for his free ad on your machine so you owe them nothing. A free wash job is worth it, you can throw the thing away anytime.
