• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    SE5 Shifting and Washing Question

Honestly, i use this stuff on everything i own. If i bought a brand new bentley, or a 93 ford probe, they would get the same products and prep work. Its not about how expensive something is, its about keeping it as perfect and shiney as possible. Now, if i only had a spyder, and didnt have...

    bugs (yuk)

If u use a quality wax the bugs shouldnt be too stuck to begin with, then i like to use a bug & tar sponge (http://www.autogeek.net/pinsafscrub.html). And also, i know a lot of u guys are older, or at least old school when it comes to this stuff, but dish soap is bad for paint, and strips...

    Insurance

I have noticed a recent hike in insurance prices in general. My auto insurance was around $850ish a year and when renewal came up, the same coverage went to $1400+ a year, shopped around, found $1100 a year to be the best price for someone reputable. I found some prices as high as $2400+ a...

    SE5 Shifting and Washing Question

Its hard to say how many vehicles it can do. I have a sample jar that has done my full size car 4 or 5 times, and its over half full. The sample is 3oz & the full(now $195) is 8oz but also comes with a free refill. On a full size car i would say thats at least 60+ coats of wax. Shawn

    SE5 Shifting and Washing Question

Im a detailer, so bear with me here. I dont have a spyder, but for washing 1 i would use a quality rinseless wash like Optimum No Rinse, works great, no mess, not really much drying if u use the Garry Dean Wash Method(google it if interested). Wheels & tires i would use a dedicated cleaner for...

    Potential buyer with questions

Wow, you daily your spyder year round? I could deal with "cold" (i am in houston after all) with body suits, but riding in the rain cannot be any fun at all, even if fully covered. Shawn

    Potential buyer with questions

Thx for all the info guys. I am definitely "leaning" towards the spyder. I find leaning to be ironic....im a dork. I also conveniently neglected to mention that i have 2 bulging disks in my lower back. It doesnt hinder most activities for me, but extra lifting/exercise does cause a little...

    Potential buyer with questions

Ive always wanted a bike(rode dirtbikes as a child, havent rode in about 20 years), but with all the safety concerns and the fact that i have kids, im looking into the spyders. I would really like to get an RSS SE5 sometime in the next year or so, but have some questions that i havent seen...
