• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    "Death Grip"?

Relax! Age here is 70 and I purchased my 2012 RT last Fall. I have put on about 2100 miles so far and I love this machine! I also had to get used to the death grip and once I learned to relax all was fine. I also notice that the wind seems to affect the driver more than the bike. I also...

On the occasion of my 59th...

Congratulations on the purchase of a new bike. I bought my 2012 last year and I love it. Used to ride Goldwings until I got a bum knee so feel a lot safer on this. You have to be very careful on that rough road with the potholes because there is very little ground clearance. I installed a...

High RPM or 2 cylinder vs 3 cylinder

Getting used to it! After reading all of these nice and very helpful posts I got it in my head that the bike is supposed to sound like it does and after riding about 100 miles the other day I decided that it actually sounds kind of nice! I will hang on to the 2012 at least for this summer. It...

High RPM or 2 cylinder vs 3 cylinder

Automatic I do have the automatic. Is there a big difference between the 2 cylinder engine and the 3 cylinder? I haven't ridden a 3 yet so will try on on for size as soon as it warms up. I put on 70 miles this spring but it doesn't want to warm up very fast here in Wisconsin. Thanks for...

High RPM or 2 cylinder vs 3 cylinder

Just me! You are right, I think that it is just me and that I need to get used to it. I was a Goldwing rider for many years and was used to that sound. I run at 4000 to 5000 in town. Just seems kind of high to me. Earplugs might help! Thanks for the comment!

High RPM or 2 cylinder vs 3 cylinder

Hi guys, I have a 2012 Spyder with the 2 cylinder engine. Does the high rpm bother anyone else or is it just me? I do a lot of in city driving and rural roads so if I run at the recommended rpm to prevent lugging the thing is always kind of screaming. I have been considering buying a newer...

Spyder RT S vs Gold Wing

Goldwing to RT Spyder I rode Goldwings for years and quit because of all the crazies out there and also a weak knee. I liked the Wing but LOVE the Spyder! I am approaching 70 and this is definitely my ride! Take one for a ride and you will be driving one!

    RUSTY SPOKES FOX VALLEY

More about your group! I am a Spyder Newbie. I rode a Goldwing for years and then gave it up. I retired 5 years ago from Miller Electric in Appleton. My wife passed away in May and I got tired of driving around in my Jeep so purchased a 2012 Spyder and I am having a ball. Don't see many on...
