• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Durango, CO 2012

Durango in June There are three of us in the Penninsula who are planning to go to Durango in June. My wife may join us following in our Honda Odysey. Is anyone ryding from NorCal that we can join up with along the way? Katlyn, are you and Geoff going and do you know anyone else who's...

    Corbin question

Custom seat If there is any way you can take the ryde down to the Corbin factory in Hollister, Ca do it. You can ryde in and have the seat made custom to fit you and your needs. I'm 6'4" tall and always felt that my legs were bent uncomfortably on the stock seat. The fine folks at Corbin...

    Unexpected compliment

Yesterday I was stopped at a light. A car pulled up next to me on the right hand side and the driver rolled down her window. There sat the prototype grandmother flowered dress, white hair teased up, specs on the bridge of her nose, and the sweetest smile. She looks at my Spyder and remarks...

    Fastrak Sending Unit

Thanks Spydergirl. Did you mount it at some location in the trunk or just let is sit in the bottom?

    Fastrak Sending Unit

Hey! You folks in Nor Cal near the Bay Area bridges I need some suggestions. Where did you mount your Fastrak sending unit? The web site shows it mounted on the windshield. I have a RT and it will fit nicely out of the way at the base of the windshield support. Any other ideas?:helpsmilie: Thanks

    Hwy 9 Ryde Update

Debbi and I are looking forward to the ryde this Saturday. For those coming from the Peninsula we will meet at the park & ride just under the overpass at Woodside and 280. We'll leave from there at 9:15 am. That should get us to Saratoga a few minutes before 10 am. We are really looking forward...

    Corbin Seat on an RT

Thank you one and all for your feedback. It was very helpful. I have an appointment at Corbin for Wednesday of next week. Now all I have to do is decide on the material and the pattern of my new seat. I will post pics when completed. Thanks again.

    Corbin Seat on an RT

Anyone out there changed thier stock seat on the RT for a Corbin Custom? I'm tall at 6'4" so the angle of the bend in my knee is a little uncomfortable on longer rydes. (I've had my ryde for a year so I've had plenty of time to adjust to the position.) Since I'm planning some long rydes this...

    New RT Limited

What about "White-Hot Mama" I know it's a little agressive but what the heck anyway. Enjoy you new RT. :congrats:

    Spyders Love Bugs

My Spyder RT has a voracious appetite for Bugs! Little ones, big ones, any size as long as they make a nice splat. Anyone out there come up with a bug repellent? You could make a killing! :joke:

Hwy 9 Ryde into Santa Cruz

I'm really encouraged by the response for this ryde. On this route we don't have to compete with allot of traffic either other bikes or cars. It's a combination of rydes...twist and turns through the mountains with lovely views and redwood forest...a fast straight run up Hwy 1 with the ocean...

    Rear Shock Question

I just had the 3000 mi oil change/check up on my RT-AC. The dealer told me my rear shock was defective. He demonstrated how my spyder 'clunked' on the upstroke when the rear was forced down and then released. He did the same to a new 2011 RT. The rebound was smooth and withiout any sudden...

Washing spyder without a water hose.

Water and electronics don't like each other. I know that Can Am sealed everything well but I don't want to take any chance of spray from the hose getting into areas I can't dry and that it shouldn't. Also, I clean my ryde in my garage.

Washing spyder without a water hose.

Cleanliness is next to godliness My RT has never and will never see a hose. I use a bucket of clean water and good rags to thoroughly clean my baby. I use clean towels (I have a good supply of old bath towels.) to dry and wipe all the surfaces except the clear plastics. As needed I wax the...
