• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Return to Zarmina

Even though I sold the Spyder a couple of years ago, I'm still writing sci-fi novels. Here's a quick write-up about my fourth novel, "Re-Life" and an Amazon link for it. Anybody who would like an e-copy for free in exchange for an honest review can contact me at [email protected]: In...

    The Scoot Coupe

You frequently see people driving/riding these things at Red Rock Canyon here in Las Vegas. Since they are always in a group, I assume somebody is renting them or putting together tours. They look like fun in the Canyon but the speed limit is so low there that the power is irrelevant. Dunno...

Would you rent out your Spyder ??

If you rent out your Spyder, you have to let your insurance company know and it will increase your rates. If you rent it without telling them, the renter has an accident and the insurance company finds out -- they will deny coverage. And if it's a serious accident, they WILL find out. It's a...

    John Kennedy

I don't see any particular reason why Democrats would call Kennedy a Republican today, at least not based on the GOALS you expressed. All else being equal, I don't think you can find anyone in either party who would say that "stimulate international trade, reduce unemployment, provide medical...

    Draft

I agree with all your reasons but would add one more: Having a draft makes it far less likely for ANY President to commit our troops to any military action not widely approved of by the general public. When it's an all-volunteer military, they can't complain and neither can parents, friends...

    Return to Zarmina

I finally published a Facebook author page, which contains links to the three books, a link to information about Zarmina itself, a Question-and-Answer section about the books, and a number of photos. Would appreciate anybody who could "like" that page...

    Being seen

I wouldn't argue against anything anybody posted here, but I'm surprised nobody made this one super-easy suggestion: RIDE WITH YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON "BRIGHT," I.E. "HIGH BEAM." It might be annoying to other drivers but if they're annoyed, at least they see you. This is recommended by the...

    ATGATT on Spyder = PTGATT?

That's interesting because I thought your point was something like, "I don't need ATGATT, I only need a helmet because WTF, I'm going to die in a crash anyway." IMO all that accident proves is that (a) yes, there have been fatal Spyder crashes, and (b) sometimes fatality is unavoidable no...

    ATGATT on Spyder = PTGATT?

We just had a fatal Spyder accident here in Las Vegas this past Memorial Day. The ryder ran a red light and was t-boned. I don't know whether he was geared up or not but when you see the remains of the Spyder, I don't think an Ironman suit would have been enough to save his life...

    ATGATT on Spyder = PTGATT?

As another ATGATT wearer, I'll answer that because I don't go out without Kevlar jeans with knee armor, a mesh jacket with shoulder, back and elbow armor, gloves and a full-face helmet. How would this help if I was hit? If I was hit, the most likely result is that I would be thrown from the...

Coolest, best vented mesh riding jacket?

We live in Las Vegas and agree with the comments about cooling vests - also, cooling cloths around the neck can do the job on short rides when you don't feel like using the vest. As for jackets, I use a Joe Rocket Phoenix mesh jacket in hi-viz with shoulder and elbow armor and I added armor to...

    Return to Zarmina

To all, thank you for the support and I hope you enjoy the books. These books have a long incubation period. The first two seemed to come out very quickly, but that was mostly because I held back the first for a long time to ensure that it wouldn't conflict with the story I was telling in the...

    Return to Zarmina

My third and last fictional trip to the **real** world of Zarmina is now available on Amazon (Kindle or print) and Smashwords. "Return to Zarmina" is the story of Major Alexander Frazier of the USFS Patton, the flagship of Earth's fleet sent to Zarmina ostensibly to set a navigation beacon in...

    Next Gen Spyder Drvetrain

Everybody has different ideas because everyone uses their Spyder differently. We only use our Spyder for cruising around town and short drives of 100 miles each way or less. For the way we use our Spyder, we would be very happy if it was electric with a range of 250 miles. Granted, BRP is...
