• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Completely locked out of the Frunk

Trikemutha thank you for the videos. They are a great help! I am following the #2 procedure as you recommend. I managed to liberate the portion of the inner black panel on the left (port) side of the bike closest to the windshield but I can't seem to loosen the forward portion in order to...

Completely locked out of the Frunk

Fortunately the Frunk is completely empty. My son and I also pushed down on the lid while trying to release it with the key and the solenoid switch. In addition we did the preceding with the ignition switch off and engine off, ignition switch on and engine off and even ignition switch on and...

Completely locked out of the Frunk

I own a 2013 RT limited. Up until recently I have had no problems with either the electric or key latch release options for opening the Frunk. Now simultaneously both options don't work. Long story short I have no other option but to break-in to the Frunk to effect a permanent fix. Preferably...

    Laser alignment

Much positive has been said about having the Spyder laser aligned. Are there any dealers in the Toronto area that supply this service?

Winter storage 2013 RT LTD SE5

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I elected to chock the tires and release the parking brake. During the winter months the Spyder shares garage space with my wife's car. Although every effort is made to remove snow from her vehicle before entry, some eventually ends up melted on the garage...

Winter storage 2013 RT LTD SE5

As per recommendations from this forum I have raised the pressure in the tires, added fuel stabilizer/topped up the tank/ and gave the engine a run. Moved the fuse from 6 to 7 and hooked up the battery tender through the 12V trunk outlet. Given our climate up here I suspect that the Spyder will...

    Tire Pressure?

My dealer set front and back to Owner Manual specs (15/28). I find the spyder wallows in turns at these pressures. I have been told that this is normal handling characteristics for this vehicle. I personally would prefer if it felt more like it was riding on rails but not so hard that it feels...

    Tire Pressure?

I have a 2013 RT Ltd and I am gravitationally challenged fellow at 300lbs. For my situation forum recommendations appear to be tire pressures of 18psi in the front and 28psi in the rear. There was mention in the Spyder "dos and don'ts" that tire pressures may be different for 2013 models due to...

    Concern?

Scotty, thanks for the advice and I don't feel picked on. I will go through the manual and DVD as you suggest. I didn't hit the road completely unprepared as I just completed the Spyder Course offered at Georgian College in Barrie Ontario. This course is associated with our graduated licensing...

    Concern?

You could very well be right. The thought has crossed my mind since I started this thread. To be honest I have little experience riding so everything was a bit of a blur. I just found a safe haven to stop, went quickly and mechanically through the shutdown and startup procedure and off I went...

    Concern?

Scotty, thanks for the info. Just curious, I have the SE5, when the spyder stalls does the transmission drop into neutral? When the spyder quit I was able to coast into a parking spot. I would have thought that if the transmission remained in 1st gear my "gliding distance" would have been...
