• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many States require a Motorcycle Endorsement for Spyders?

This is the same as Minnesota. My wife already had her 2-wheel license, so she was fine for the Spyder. I did not, so I had to take the exam, written and riding, and I received a 3-wheel (only) endorsement.

    First ride of the season

Last Friday, it was mid 70’s in East-Central MN. Coincidentally, our Spyders were ready to be picked up following their annual maintenance. The Mrs and I had a wonderful afternoon/evening ride from Red Wing, to Prescott, to Stillwater, and home. Perfect way to kick off the season… even tho it...

Another Dealer Drops the Spyder Line

Just found out about Moon dropping the Spyder a couple of weeks ago when I wanted our bikes serviced for the spring. That’s a bummer because I really liked dealing with Moon. Nice folks who do great work.

Do you think a Spyder is for me? Need some advice from the Spyder Pros

Glad to see this thread still getting attention. My wife and I actually bought our Spyders in the Summer of 2023 — very shortly after I made the original post. After two full riding seasons, I can concur with all of the positive recommendations— it’s been loads of fun and one of the best...

What makes a Spyder's smoother ride vs. Ryker?

This is my take and personal rule of thumb: Ryker = “Sportbike” F3 = “Cruiser” RT = “GoldWing” YMMV

Helmet Day! Got a new Bell Modular!

+1 on the Senas with the built in comms. The Mrs. and I have those (Sena Outrush) and it makes for a great riding experience. With us on separate bikes, it’s really nice to be able to communicate.

    Which Spyder - Tall Rider

This is really interesting reading about the tall fellas on F3's. I tried one and even with the pedals in the front-most position, my knees bang right against the ridge in the bodyside cladding. Very uncomfortable. I went with the RT and after I got my Corbin seat, the fit is almost perfect. I...

Does anyone own a Spyder AND a Ryker?

I know a lot of motorcyclists who own multiple bikes. I'm curious if there are any Spyderlovers who own both a Spyder AND a Ryker? I have a new Spyder RT Limited that I like a great deal and am getting comfortable on. I did take the Can Am 1-day course and it was conducted on Rykers. That was a...

    Look what followed us home!

Ha Ha!!! Yeah - Momma decided that the F3 was more her cup of tea than the Ryker ... and who was I to argue? She is an AKA but I have much (Golden!) love for the Pretty Poodles. Keep the shiny side up! :spyder2:

    Look what followed us home!

A couple of weeks ago, I made my first post in the forum (https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?154883-Do-you-think-a-Spyder-is-for-me-Need-some-advice-from-the-Spyder-Pros). The Mrs. and I took a test drive of a Spyder RT, and we fell in love. Well, today they were delivered, and...

2022 vs 2023 RT Limited: Any material differences?

All - I put a deposit on a NOS 2022 RT Limited today. Before I pull the trigger, I'm checking in to see if there are any material differences between the 2022 and the 2023?

Do you think a Spyder is for me? Need some advice from the Spyder Pros

Love it! I see your photo and its looks like you are running the same play that my wife and I have called, namely the His & Hers Spyder & Ryker combo. I'm curious to know how that plays out for the two of you -- what is your actual use case for the two bikes and how often do you both ride what...

Do you think a Spyder is for me? Need some advice from the Spyder Pros

You hit the nail on the head regarding our ride plans. Regarding our comms, we each have the Sedici Sistema II Parlare Bluetooth Helmet. So far, they are nice units but like everything else, they’re probably subject to being upgraded as we discover our preferences.

Well, I think it's a great seat -- especially with the extra height. Well played, sir!!!
