• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Replaced a dead Haijiu battery in my 2022 F3S. It made it through two riding seasons and two winters on the tender/maintainer. I suspect the Yuasa will have a bit longer lifespan. :)

Feedback on the new Forum Format?

Much easier to view on the phone. No problems for me so far. I’m liking the new forum look

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Price, availability of a place to get one mounted (only chain stores around here that wouldn't mount a car tire), and me getting about 10,000 miles on the oem one. It was the easier route.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took off rear wheel, had a Kenda Kanine mounted/balanced, put back on and spent an hour adjusting belt tracking and tension. Then spent several more hours installing the ISCI hand brake conversion. Was being meticulous because brakes and all that. Took several pain relievers and will put it...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed an Elka rear shock and Can Am saddle bag brackets on the '22 F3S. Took an hour at most. Remove rear under-plastics, loosen nuts on shock bolts, lift spyder until bolts come out, remove shock... reverse of all of that (with the addition of some hardware for the saddle bag brackets)...

This does not help the motorcycle community

I was living in Iowa when they completed I380... back then it was pretty much a 40 minute drag strip between Waterloo and Cedar Rapids. I will not say how I know this ;) DOT cameras along that stretch is probably a good thing. -Chuck

Will RonBar help with Drifting on Secondary Roads with Crowns?

I've run into this on the uneven back roads here in Michigan. Due to frost heave and such, the right side of the road will often dip down a few inches for a bit, then come back up. After some time, I figured out how to combat the spyder from wanting to dive in the direction of the dip: 1) No...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took the '22 F3-S up to the local dealer (C&C Sports, Brighton Michigan) and had the mirror recall taken care of. 20 minutes later, I was on my way home. :2thumbs: Then proceeded to change the oil, filter, and replace the drain plugs with the show chrome ones. Note: Get ramps for next time...

Need Windshield advice: Form, Function, & Height?

I am also 5’10” and went with the 18” windscreen on my 2022 F3S. I’m able to adjust it for my liking of less/more wind and am very pleased with it. The one i ordered from madstad’s website came with two deflectors that sit next to gauge cluster. These are not adjustable. The image below is...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I finally found a method to mount the expanding pole for the Insta360 camera. Cobbled together from spare RAM mounts that have been accumulating over my 15 years of riding.

Good Spyder dealer in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Good to know. I may have to ride over from the Ann Arbor area to use their services.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Moved the pegs to position #4, installed the SE Performance Adjustable Brake Rod Kit, and adjusted the brake pedal to work with my wonky ankle. Sooo much more comfortable! Then I didn't ride it because... Winter. :( Chuck

I wonder if this will be an option on the '24 models?

All well and good, but you would have to enable the parking brake and hit the mode button after turning any of those on. hehe.
