• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Tire pressure recommendations

Right, thanks, 28psi it is for the Kenda. No sign of wear on it so far after 2500 miles. I bought the Contis back in July. Here in Australia I could not find Federal, Vredestein etc. For me it was the Bridgestone Potenza or the Contis. It turned out that the Potenzas were hard to get too. I like...

    Tire pressure recommendations

I have a newly purchased 2017 F3-S with 4000km on it. I just changed the front tyres to Conti Premium Contact 2 tyres 175/55-15 and, based on many forum updates, plan to run these tyres at 16psi cold. I'll wear out the stock Kenda rear tyre before replacing it with a car tyre. The Spyder F3...

What's the best sized socket for Spyder Lug nuts?

I'm about to change the front tyres on my nearly new 2017 F3-S. A 21mm, 12 point socket seemed a bit loose on the lug nuts, and would not fit between the nut and the wheel so was not very far onto the nut. The owners manual and service manual don't mention what size socket to use. I measured...

    Tire water displacement?

i recently bought a 2017 F3-S with 3700km on it. I read in the owners manual that care should be taken in heavy rain because of the risk of aquaplaning (or hydroplaning). This makes sense because the load on the front tyres of a Spyder is less than half of that on a car tyre, about the same as a...

    Spyder f3-s panniers/bags

You are right. The external dimensions of the pannier liner (I don’t have the panniers yet) fully expanded are 42x28x24cm, which would be 28 litres. The shape is irregular, so I’d estimate 25 litres. I miscalculated this yesterday. I measured my size M (not XXL) helmet. It would fit in a space...

    Spyder f3-s panniers/bags

I just bought a 2017 F3-S. It’s due to be delivered from interstate in 2 weeks. It has a pair of SHAD SH36 on it, so I ordered and received a pair of the SH36 inner liners. They are SMALL. I estimate their volume to be about 16-17 litres each. I found the answer on Shad’s US website. The...

    Potential new buyer needs advice

Thanks Peter. i updated my profile location to Essendon, Victoria, Australia. Northern suburb of Melbourne. I noticed that the V-twins make comparatively large power and redline at 9500rpm. Looks as if a V-twin Spyder would be fun too, but after several Triumphs I have come to love triples. I...

    Potential new buyer needs advice

Another migrant from two wheels New member, my first post. I have ridden motorcycles for 49 years here in Australia. I thought I had several years of riding left, until in February I had my second major crash in just over two years, this one on my 2016 Triumph Speed Triple R. I have been...
