• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rear tire wear

I read a post someone complaining about excessive wear on the rear rubber. My newly "it followed me home" F3 made its maiden voyage from Houston, Texas to Bear Tooth Pass, Montana and any pass in between. Great ride on a super bike. What a leap up from the RS-S. We logged 5 k miles...

    Cruise control

run into a snag I did the very same upgrade. Works great, except my throttle grip now binds. It stops just short of fully returning (1/8 turn). I fiddled with it and found that the grip returns fully if I loosen the bottom screw of the two that hold the front switch housing to the TAS just...

    Madstad 20" Windshield

My installation looked similar at first what your pictures show. Does not work for me. That huge gap below the windshield had to go and the wobbling and flopping was unbearable even at 40 mph. And it still goes 3" higher. What for? Here are some pictures what I wound up with and like. Smooth air...

    Madstad 20" Windshield

Madstad I am 5' 8" and installed a 18" Madstad. What I got out of the box and put on the bike was either a misprint or completely un-usable. First the pros: Base plate design and fit to the bike looks great. Now the cons: Rear mounting brackets are extremely flimsy, allowing lots of...

F3 SE6 I see you have a F3. Any comments good and bad before I trade? Friend told me they got rid of the threaded Limp Mode. True?

I think I do both. Trade for a F3 at a different dealer.

    F 3 SE6 Limp Mode?

Can anyone verify that the new F3 does no longer have Limp Home Mode?

Resolved Called earlier this week and left a message for the tech that I know there is a bad battery ground connection (ground post under the seat next to the rear fuse box). Nut in the back turns and I could not re-tighten it. Did this a year ago. Called back yesterday to find the message was...

All things mentioned have been done by the dealer tech. One thing comes to mind. When I hooked up a pigtail for the battery tender I could not unscrew nor tighten the negative connection near the rear fuse panel. Whatever this bolt screws into (well nut?) turns. That was a year ago. I think I...

About pulling the plug or what?

Battery, lights, fruses, BLS, all have been tested and passed. No brake pedal riding. Tech is convinced its an electrical wiring/connector problem. Second opinion is hard to come by. Only dealer in town with 4 locations.

Spyder is a 2011 RS-S SE5 with ~5k miles. Battery, lights, fuses, BLS all have been checked and passed. I don't ride the brake. Coincudence or not, I installed the saddlebag kit just prior. No other dealer in town but there are 4 locations.

About pulling the plug or what?

I switched from 2 to 3 wheels over a year ago (left AK amputation long time ago). Well, the '11 Spyder RS-S SE5 was the ticket. Rode it several long trips, 1-2 k miles each. About 6 weeks ago, preparing for a 2k trip, it went to "Limp mode." ABS Fault VSS Fault Check DPS Took it home and pulled...
