• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I should be picking up my black and silver tomorrow. I'll provide all the details once it is in my hands. It's going to be tought to sleep tonight!

    Do you miss the lean?

I haven't received my Spyder yet (should be in the next shipment), but I am selling my Harley and will only be riding the Spyder. If I had the funds and a large enough garage for both vehicles that would be great; but the main reason I decided to get rid of the hog was after a long test drive...

When did you order your Spyder?

Ordered my black and silver spyder in August, and was told (not holding my breath) it should be here in the next 4 weeks. That should put delivery right around Chanakwanzimas, which would be great. Since it seems like we've only had about one inch of rain in the last five years in So. Cal and it...

    NEGATIVITY BREEDS NEGATIVITY!

It's my understanding that they are providing the first 12 owners who register with demos for the ride in So. Cal. When I registered for the ride I made it clear that I wouldn't have my Spyder by then--I pretty far down the list, so I'm sure my Spyder won't be here by the demo ride and I will...

    NEGATIVITY BREEDS NEGATIVITY!

Great thread! I stopped posting for a while because I felt that there was too much negativity. I received a letter today stating that my jacket will be here in a few weeks, and that gets me one step closer to the first "dream ride": I'll take Pacific Coast Highway south from Huntington Beach...

    Out the Door Price--help!

"I don't know how other dealerships work but at ours we charge customers what we pay for freight plus a small markup to pay the setup guy to build the unit, he doesn't work for free. Contrary to popular belief, we actually make nothing on the freight/setup charge." Well, it sounds like you are...

Does anyone know if we will need to order the 12v accessory to run the xm system Lamonster mentioned? Gotta have music with this ride!

    Out the Door Price--help!

Based on all of the great info posted here, I was able to negotiate a price for a Spyder today for just a bit more than others paid. It's going to be really difficult to get it at cost out here because of the demand, and the fact that there seems to be some wealthy folks who are willing to spend...

    Out the Door Price--help!

Thanks for the help with otd prices. Using the info provided, I've already been able to find better deals. I've located a different dealership that is much closer to the prices quoted in the other posts. Shipping/freight is still higher (around 900 bucks)--perhaps because we are a longer trip...

    Out the Door Price--help!

I test drove a Spyder in June and loved it. Called the dealer in So. Cal in early August and was quoted $14,999 (silver) plus taxes, fees, documents for a total out the door (otd) of $16,753. Called back today and was told $19,500 otd because of "freight and assembly" fees! Called a second...

    aftermarket stereo

Thanks--I had a feeling xm would be the best way to go. I'm glad to hear you get decent sound as I've never ridden with xm/mp3 and an earbud. The thought of riding the spyder with some good music is pretty appealing. Is it pretty easy to set up the xm?

    aftermarket stereo

I had a chance to test drive a spyder a few months ago, and it was a blast. It has a really quick learning curve--within twenty minutes I was riding it as hard, if not harder than my Harley. I was a bit concerned with the riding position, but it seems like they have lowered the brake, and now...
