• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help! 2012 RT Limited - won't start, stuck out on the Cape

Thanks to all - got it to start! This morning we went out and removed the frunk liner to look at the fuses (I didn't know where they were previous to this) and pushed in on all of them to be certain they were well seated. A couple of them seemed like they may have been a bit loose, but it also...

Help! 2012 RT Limited - won't start, stuck out on the Cape

I obviously know where the frunk is (even someone as dumb as I am knows that part!) but where is the fuse box inside it (and how do you check the relay once I find it)? I saw fuses under the seat, I think it was by the negative side of the battery but have never seen anything in the frunk. Thanks!

Help! 2012 RT Limited - won't start, stuck out on the Cape

I just saw for the first time today where the fuses were under the seat. They looked like they were all intact (nothing obviously wrong) but where are the relays and how do I tell if one is gone (I apologize in advance for my stupidity here!)?

Help! 2012 RT Limited - won't start, stuck out on the Cape

Great idea - and we have been wondering the same thing about the battery but we don't have any tools here. We're in a small town on the Cape and not much around here. Do you know if you can try to jump it from a car to see if that would start it? If so, we'd obviously know it was the battery...

Help! 2012 RT Limited - won't start, stuck out on the Cape

Start screen comes up just fine but absolutely nothing happens when you push the start button (after hitting the mode button). It doesn't turn over at all. I really would swear it was the kill switch except that I've tried that back and forth (repeatedly) to be sure it's not in the wrong position.

Help! 2012 RT Limited - won't start, stuck out on the Cape

Thanks - I got all excited when I read this hoping that's what it was. My spare is at home (about 200 miles away) but I'd least I'd know what was wrong. No such luck. I tried exactly what you said and waited for about three minutes just in case, but no message. I appreciate your help though!

Help! 2012 RT Limited - won't start, stuck out on the Cape

Thanks - but tried that one, repeatedly (learned my lesson from having that happen to me when I first got the bike).

Help! 2012 RT Limited - won't start, stuck out on the Cape

Yup - did both of those Brake was definitely compressed. Tried it with the emergency brake on and off (brake petal depressed the entire time) just in case. Repeated multiple times. Also repeated throwing the kill switch back and forth with no luck. I lifted the seat and looked at the battery...

Help! 2012 RT Limited - won't start, stuck out on the Cape

I have a 2012 RT Limited - rode it about 200 miles out here on Saturday and have ridden it every day since. Parked it last night and no issues. Went out to start it to run down to the store and it won't start. It acts like the kill switch has been set, but that's not the case (double, triple...

Frunk open - latch stuck in closed position

A HUGE thanks to everyone!!! A huge thank you to everyone! I wasn't able to find the button some described, but I found the cable and by pushing down on that at the same time as pushing the button that opens it, it popped open easily. I genuinely appreciate the help!!!! Gary

Frunk open - latch stuck in closed position

Yup, you've got it right. I tried pushing up on it with a screwdriver while my son pushed the button, but no luck! Thanks though!!!!

Frunk open - latch stuck in closed position

Help! My frunk is open, but the latch is stuck in the closed position (my son was playing with it while it was open). I've tried the obvious but it did no good (pushing down and turning the key and using the electronic button). I thought about beating the child but figured that might make me...

    First Spring Ride

Americade is a HUGE motorcycle event/rally I don't know if it's the biggest one close to us, but if not it has to be close. LOTS of vendors and things to do. Last year I went by myself and had already ordered my Ultimate seat so I rode up to have them install it (since I'm NOT mechanical - at...

    First Spring Ride

I'm probably going to head up to Americade in June if either of you are interested I went just for a day last year and enjoyed it. That's where I had my seat put on (and ordered some prescription sunglasses that are GREAT) and this year I'm thinking of getting some lights installed. I won't...

    First Spring Ride

Hi Chuck! I knew you said you were here (on SpyderLovers) but I didn't know this was you! We went to SpyderQuest last year, but whether or not we make it this year is going to depend on the job situation (I was laid off back in October). I'm hopeful we can make it, but won't be placing any...
