• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Impressions after DPS Recall...

DPS Recall I agree with the rest. Had the recall done on my 2009 RS and it's been great. Never had any problems before but I can sure tell the difference on the highway. Lane changes are much more controlled at high speeds. Love those posted 85 MPH speed limit signs in TX.:2thumbs:

RIde to Coopers BBQ May 22nd

Ed - I've got a 3 sisters ride planned for that date. Are you or any of the other :spyder2: ryders in the Houston area doing anything for the Worldwide Motorcycle Awareness Ride on 5/23? There's going to be a large ride in SA to remember the riders that were killed in Phoenix in March.

Biker looking to 'defect' to Spyder - advice please?

I'll be turning 55 this year and I've had my 2009 :spyder2: for over a year. I've been on short trips and a 2800 mile trip with no problems. I've had no steering problems or any other problems that have plagued other :spyder2: owners. Maybe I'm just lucky. I've ridden two-wheeled motorcycles for...

    trailering Can-Am Spyser RT

I don't have an RT but I had a trailer built to fit my RS. There are tire pockets in front to help stabilize the :spyder2: when traveling. I also had the rear gate done in two sections to accommodate the steep angle and low clearance of the RS. The trailer has 15" tires so it handles great at...

    ISCI Custom Paint

Billy - what is on the exhaust portion of the radiator fan? Are you venting the hot air in another direction? I have your floorboards and as you probably know my right foot can get really hot especially in the 100+ degree summer we had in last year in South Texas. I put on a minor mod to cut...

    TX/OK panhandle ryders

I live in San Antonio but if you give me enough lead time and pick a 3-day weekend I'm open to coming up for a ride. I made the trip from San Antonio to Shamrock, TX to start my Rt. 66 ride in June 2009. Went through Groom and Amarillo on my way west. Did a detour through Palo Duro Canyon SP and...

Ride Meet--S.A., Austin, Houston and Texas points beyond

Hey Verb - we got it on the meetup site as a discussion item. Haven't booked it as a meetup since we might have people coming that aren't part of the meetup group. Let's wait a week to see if anyone from the Austin area jumps in on this. If not, Shiner sounds like a good destination.

Ride Meet--S.A., Austin, Houston and Texas points beyond

Glynn - you're right you left it in our lap for planning. Let me throw out some ideas. If we can get some Austin people to go how about Gidding, TX and eat at Frank N Stein. Or if we only have SA and Houston people we can go to Shiner, TX and eat at the Shiner Restaurant & Bar. Let's stick the...
