• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone installed netting inside 2020+ RT Saddle bag to secure contents?

No. Mine has the luggage. I always lock the side cases. Never had a problem with them opening unexpectedly.

Dealer saying rear lid shock replacmt not covered by warranty - thoughts?

I had my top case and seat struts replaced under warranty a few months ago. The service guy had to get approval from BRP beforehand. I recall reading something about strut manufacturing issues that occurred about the same time of my build. Neither strut ever worked as they should have. The...

Do you like riding your Spyder during motorcycle rallies ??

I rode down to Main Street in Daytona yesterday. It was a beautiful day. Main Street was packed with every conceivable type of vehicle imaginable. More Spyders than I have seen in past years. Lots of Slingshots. One rider on a trike had his two poodles behind him. This year I didn’t see the pony...

21 RT Rear Trunk won't stay open - any cheap repairs?

Just replaced my top case and seat strut under the factory warranty in about an hour while I walked around and kicked some tires. Has anyone had either done with the B.E.S.T. Extended warranty?

2022 Sea to Sky Transmission Fault

It should stay in first gear when you are stopped and turn the key off. It should be in first gear when you turn the key on. It should automatically shift to neutral when you start it. I haven’t experienced a transmission fault warning. You may want the dealer to take a look at it.

Building your own 'pull behind Spyder' trailer

I don’t have an opinion on the trailer, but I would bet the tow vehicle in the photo is a 2011 CVO Road Glide Ultra, Frosted Ivory over Heritage Gold. Only a few hundred were built in that color. That was the last Harley I owned.

    FOBO Fun

I installed Fobo about a year ago. Initially, I was pretty anal about adding/deleting air to make sure everything was perfect. Then, I realized the balance between the right and left front tires is never more than 0.2 psi, and the psi for all three tires never varied more than 2 from spec. The...

What do you do with your Pedal Commander in the rain?

My glove box locks when the handlebars are locked.

What do you do with your Pedal Commander in the rain?

I use the handlebar mount. There is enough cable slack to move it to the glove box in the rain. The foam gasket on the glove box lid allows for full closure and dry storage. I also lock it in the glove box when I park in the rare sketchy area.

2012 RTL - how long before you plug in the battery tender?

Ditto… I “float” mine and tie a piece of red yarn to the handlebar as a reminder. Don’t ask me why.

Has anyone escaped BRP-GO mandatory Apps successfully?

I don’t use the BRP app. I mount the Pixel on the handlebars if I need navigation. Otherwise, I toss it into the glovebox.

Has anyone escaped BRP-GO mandatory Apps successfully?

I Bluetooth my Pixel 5a to play Amazon Music and Sirius/XM. Music track and artist are displayed below RPM. Play/pause/skip functions work using audio controls. I don’t bother with the charging cable due to phone’s high capacity battery.

What Differences between 2021 and 2022 Sea to Sky?

    Mine doesn’t have adjustable risers.

    Old Habits die Hard

I have a similar two wheel background and experiences on three wheels. Road obstacles are a greater challenge to negotiate on three wheels. I still like to ride on the left side of the lane and move to the right side for oncoming traffic when the lane is narrow. A lot of the roads I ride are...

Dead Battery and can't engage parking brake

I used to carry a kickstand pad in my two-wheel days in case I had to park on soft ground. Now I need to carry a wheel chock in case my parking brake fails? Well, I am happy I don’t have to carry the kickstand pad anymore. I knew I would find a good purpose for my small, collapsible chock that I...
