• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fitted Cruise Control on base 2020 F3

I'm going from memory (did this mod 3 years ago) but I do remember there were two connectors at the end of the new cruise switch. One went in/near the harness near the ECU and other fit further down. Are you saying your new switch only has one rectangular connector? I'll watch the thread and...

Adding Cruise Control to 2017 F3 Base

On my 2017, I have basically 3 circular displays. The left is a speedometer from 0-200, center is an LCD display, and the right is a tachometer. With the ignition on and the engine not running, sliding the cruise switch to the right reveals the "ON" lettering behind the sliding part of the...

Fitted Cruise Control on base 2020 F3

Thanks for confirming it is still possible on the base 2020 F3. Is the switch part number the same 710004583 like it was for my 2017 F3? Now that you have done it, any tips or advice for those considering adding the switch?

Are Kenda K20 Kanines installed as OEM tires on the 2020 Spyders?

I edited your quote, but wanted to share Riva Yamaha in Pompano over the phone said they would mount any tire I brought in. Haven't actually done it yet, but that's my plan in a few thousand miles.

When Mileage is very low--on a 2 year old F3

My understanding is it's not the oil itself that breaks down over time, but it's the additive packages (corrosion inhibitors and things like that) that become less effective once exposed to the elements. So a sealed container will last "forever" but once opened and put into an engine it should...

Quick question to all you gear heads - what if I DON'T flash my ECU?

Here's a little bit about combustion chemistry: Running rich or lean is determined by how much excess oxygen is in the exhaust after combustion but before the catalyst. That's why emissions controlled engines have an O2 sensor. Engines with a 3 way catalyst (most cars and emissions controlled...

Renting a Spyder or two in Phoenix

While I have not checked the Phoenix area, I did see Turo (car sharing service) had a couple of Spyders when I was looking to rent one in Las Vegas. Turo comes with its own risks, but may be worth checking out. Hope this helps!

    Sticker Shock!

I can "third" the Lidlox, easy to install and secure. I've had them for well over a year, and never considered just locking with the D ring, have always used the "T-Bar". Will try next time I'm out, thanks for sharing!

    Harley Clamping Down on Owners

There are 3 main pollutants that the EPA measures. CO, CO2 and NOx. For gasoline engines, the most difficult one to reduce is the NOx. Air is mainly Nitrogen and Oxygen. When you burn (oxidize) fuel in a closed system, you get very high temperatures and pressures. That's what moves the...

    M/C License - Yes/No?

Florida Can confirm. I have a three wheel endorsement in Florida, via the course offered (and paid for) by BRP. While the actual license says "Motorcycle Also" there is an additional "Restriction" of S - indicating the endorsement is only valid for 3 wheelers.

Roll call: Younger riders or riders with no health issues?

49 now, and just purchased a new F3 (base) for $17k out the door. No health issues that would prevent me from riding two wheels, had a two wheeler in high school. Wife is a neurological nurse, so for a long time convertibles were the only open air vehicle I was "allowed" to own. Went through a...

Adding Cruise Control to 2017 F3 Base

Hello everyone, First, thanks for a wonderful site providing tons of information before I bought my Spyder, and of course, tons more info after I actually got one! While there are threads available showing that it is possible to add cruise control to a base model F3, the part numbers have...
