• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    My New Trailer ***LOOK***

I realize that the aforementioned teasing is just good nature'd fun, but there are other reasons for towing a Spyder or any other bike. I have a motorhome and we do enjoy doing a few other outdoor activities other than riding the Spyder or any of the other bikes. Trailering provides a great...

    farewell

PLEASE ACCEPT MY RESIGNATION. I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE LIKE ME AS A MEMBER". Groucho Marks To all you posting counters, the issues that prompted my decision were in the form of private message replies to comments I made in public forums. They were malicious and...

    farewell

I belong to 3 motorcycle forums (including this one) and have participated in thread discussions for over six years. Of all of the forums I belong to, I must say that the that interactions with several (ok, just four) of the "senior" members of this one have been some of the least pleasant I...

Spokane WA to Spearfish/Deadwood SD on my RT-S

Due to a family related scheduling conflict, I was unable to go the the first 3-Wheel Rally in Deadwood, but I did go to the ST-1300/NT-700 National Rally just next door in Spearfish, and I decided to ride the Spyder instead of my NT. The Spyder was a comfortable ride and I enjoyed having the...

Calling all 2014-2015 RT owners with "Belt Vibration"

Not Good Vibrations I just got back from taking my 2014 RT-S to Sturgis-Spearfish-Deadwood last week to attend a rally for another brand. I noticed the same vibration that the thread-starter described. Since I was on the "slab" and the road surface conditions are not great through most of I-90...

    Headsup on LeatherUp

Leather Up +++ I have done business with them on many occasions over the years and have had nothing but positive experiences. like it was mentioned before, the real issue was with Torx. When a manufacturer will not stand behind a product, how can the retailer? I've been riding long enough to...

Deadwood 3 Wheeler Motorcycle Rally July 2015

Deadwood Rally At this point I'm either going to this rally or National ST 1300/NT 700 one a week earlier in Spearfish.

Mini compressor and flat repair kit?

compressor/repair kit The Feb. 2015 issue of Road Runner Motorcycle Touring & Travel magazine reviewed 6 different compressors ranging in price from $100 (Best Rest) to $37 (Stop N Go) and the reviewers opinion was that he would be comfortable with any of those that were reviewed. I have the...

    1/4 time of RT-S?

That's my story as well. I looked for the better part of an hour. Zippo; Nada; Neyt; Blanco!!!

    1/4 time of RT-S?

I understand all of that, and as a rider for many years I appreciate it as well. Again, I was just asking if anyone knew of a posted ET in a road test or cycling magazine, or anywhere else where the same rational "safety first" (see limited liability) attitude might have been trumped by the more...

    first weekender 2-up

This is the first weekend getaway on the Spyder. I just got back from a national rally in S. Dakota for Honda's ST1300 and NT700 a few weeks back, but my wife has not done much touring on a bike (2 or 3 wheels) riding 2-up, so this little 260 mile round-tripper is a big deal for her. If anyone...

    1/4 time of RT-S?

I'm trying to settle a bet with a riding acquaintance (notice I didn't say friend) on the ET's of a 2014 RT-S and a model from another brand, which will go nameless (but you do meet the nicest people riding them). I have tried Google searches and can find specs but no 1/4 mile times. Anyone know...

    New Rider Question

I very much enjoyed the "new Rider Do's and Don'ts Post. It has been very helpful. But I still have a question or two and I do appreciate the collective wisdom of the forum. I am an experienced 2 wheel rider with riding skills that are above average. I have a Honda NT 700 V ABS with ABS and I...

    2014 Key Fob

To those of you who have offered constructive advice, offered solutions and actually tried to answer my original question, again, my many thanks.

    2014 Key Fob

What's the deal with the "holster-like" key fob? The actual key itself does not have a hole in it to put on a ring, and I'm uncomfortable with that for security reasons. I would like to drill a hole in it to put on a ring. It doesn't have any sort of smart chip in it does it? Anyone else deal...
