• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    A Message for the Moderators

I wonder how much Spyder unhappiness in general can be attributed to the front sprocket recall and its current state. A tough thing to swallow for a new or recent buyer as well as veterans.

Any portable air compressors to run off battery lead?

Someone mentioned the brand already - Microstart makes a small compressor that plugs into some of their compact jump starters. Also available is a harness that goes to the battery posts for a quick connection to the jump starter when needed. This would take the worry out of being able to plug...

Left Hand Module Replacement on F3 - anyone DIY?

You may have the shop or maintenance manual already but if not, here are the pages (all 2 of them) out of my RT manual covering this:

Left Hand Module Replacement on F3 - anyone DIY?

Here are a couple of pictures with the back cover removed from the module. I investigated the shift mechanism since it seemed over the top to need to replace this entire module just for this problem. The aluminum T-shaped object at the bottom is on the back end of the +/- shift paddle The...

Left Hand Module Replacement on F3 - anyone DIY?

This is the connector of my removed module: I thought I had pictures of where it actually connected up under the fairings but apparently, I don't.

Left Hand Module Replacement on F3 - anyone DIY?

It was earlier this year during the height of all the supply chain disruptions. Can Am had given several of us on this forum an expected ship date on this part that was 4-6 months into the future. Then of course the date moved to the right even more. My parts lady at the dealer told me the...

Left Hand Module Replacement on F3 - anyone DIY?

Well my experience at this was long and drawn out. I’ve got a 2018 RT, and it took lots of searching to find a new LH module to say the least. Once I did receive it I started removing at the handlebar to see what I was going to be looking at going forward. My shop manual did have a section for...

    Let's talk cups

I use a Butler Mug and mount. I had it leftover from a previous Goldwing and was very happy with it then, I only needed to buy a Spyder mount and I was in business. https://www.glassact.com/

    Difficulty with the reverse button

I have had the same problems along with a few others here. I did the same as you, taking apart the housing and cleaned up what I found around those ball bearings. It did not work either. I used an awl to depress the ball bearings manually and could hear it make contact and the distinct click...

Review: Thumbs up on SpyderPops SpyderBags!

I bought the Hopnel bag set for the frunk and trunk last year prior to a trip. I can tell you those are made from some paper-thin material and the zippers only have so many zips in them. Seems like a get what you pay for item. I assume the saddle bag liners would be the same.

Fobo 2 - why not buy 2 sets to cover air bag plus spares?

Yep, there is only 1 FOBO 2 app. You tell it the rest on configuration of sensors

    First big Ride

I still have my 2019 Indian Roadmaster. I love the bike still, but boy do I have my days where it's heavy....very hot....and very loud. I agree the Spyder is easier on trips.

Fobo 2 - why not buy 2 sets to cover air bag plus spares?

No reason I can think of. The app won't know if the sensors are from different sets . Smart

3 RYKERS and a Honda ride from Morristown to Douglas Dam (VIDEO)

What kind of camera are you using to video with? I enjoy your videos since the areas are somewhat familiar to me

What are the Zumo XT's capabilities?

Seems to me this thread took a bit of a turn. I think each of us has an opinion on the phone vs. Zumo debate, but I don't believe that's what Mazo was asking exactly. The Zumo XT was already purchased so doubtful he is too concerned about which one is better. Just my opinion.
