• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    GPS App for the Destination-less

(This review is for an iOS/Apple GPS app that I do not believe exists for Android devices. I am not affiliated with the app or the developer.) I ride with at least one to three other people most weekends and am often the leader. While we sometimes have a specific destination that is easy to...

    Low cost GPS

iPad Mini I picked up a used iPad Mini at a really good price from Game Stop. It is the Wi-Fi version with the smallest amount of memory. I connect it wirelessly to my iPhone for the Internet connectivity, and use Google maps for GPS. With this set up, I get a much more responsive...

    Riderscan Blind Spot Mirror

Mine too! I bought the Wide Vu mirrors last fall, and although I love the view they provide, I had problems with both mirrors falling off of my F3. The back of the plastic is a thin waffle design (as you’ve seen from Blue Star’s pics) which has absolutely no surface area for the double-sided...

    Worried

Count me in as another one of the Spyder owners that have several thousand miles under my belt, and no complaints. I previously owned the 2013 RTS, and absolutely loved that thing, and it was even better when they added the air scoops for better heat management. I currently own the 2016 F3T and...

    2015 F3S Backup Light conversion

Amazon Awesome information, Dray! I was JUST looking for this information last week about the heck kind of reverse bulb these F3s have, which was hard to find. I finally found this info on a BMW forum. H21W bulb with a BAY9 base (note: a BA9 base WILL NOT work). My reverse light burned...

    Illinois Licensing Requirements

I took my test in Clinton, IL. The two ladies there were so nice, but weren't sure what to make of the Spyder. They have a small "course" behind the building and made me go through all the paces. The neighbor stopped working in the yard, pulled out his lawn chair and watched. I think if one...

Unusual Questions You've Been Asked About Your Spyder?

Training Wheels I will often tell people that I'm learning to ride and "I needed one with training wheels ... and hope to get them off in a few weeks". That gets them looking at me, looking at the bike, and then busting out laughing when they see my smirk. Like someone said earlier, the...

2016 FT3 with audio OEM seat vs BRP Cannonball seat

I tried both the Canonball seat and the Coast-to-Coast seats from BRP. For me, they felt almost identical to the stock seat. Wound up returning both after a few multi-hour rides on each. Many of us have found much better (and cheaper) options from other vendors. There's several recent threads...

    Russell Day Long Seats

Ah, good question. That is the stock backrest, and I did not have to send it in. It fits just fine, though I need to adjust it forward a little bit now. Another point about the seat is that you will feel like you are riding on top of the motorcycle at first. It adds a couple of inches to...

    Russell Day Long Seats

Update: Amazing Difference!!! I just wanted to provide a quick update on the my Russell Day Long seat. My seat arrived on May 26th, just in time for our long weekend trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. We rode from just north of Atlanta, and I could immediately tell a...

    F3 Service/Repair Manual

It's missing! I contacted the seller and he alluded that I did not know how to search a PDF document and then said they "hide" stuff in there. It's a rip-off without the BODY subsection.

    2016 f3 limited windshield

I'm right at 6 foot, and don't get any head buffeting with the stock windshield (Shoei modular helmet). I'm actually looking forward to getting more of the breeze with the F3 in the hot summer months then I could get on the RT. Then again, I had one of those '13 RTs with the built-in toaster oven.

    Spyder Sightings

North Georgia must be Spyder Country! Was out riding with my group between Clarkesville and Suches, and counted 12 different Spyders throughout the day. Great to see the popularity of these machines increase. I'm still practicing my 3 finger salute! :spyder2:

    Highway Pegs on stock Floortboards?

I'm missing having a place to rest my foot forward on my F3 with the floorboards. The floorboards are very nice and gives me options, but am trying to figure out if and how I can add highway pegs. Continuing to search the web. Wondering if any of you have tackled this and what you did...
