• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    VANDALISM! Broken antenna

Doubt it was vandalism Riding down in the Smokies this past week and checked my antenna only to have it fall off in my hand. Checked the connection and it had broken at the screw threads. This is the second OEM antenna and lasted for 3 years, lost the first after 2000 miles. Looks like bad...

Is that a girls bike ?

Riding down in Great Smokies National Park Met many HD riders while riding in the Smokies and was surprised to get the "down low bird flying" from a couple of HD riders. I take it with a grain of salt and hope their bodies never wear out on them like mine is starting too. Yep, could have gone...

    Windshield Arm Broken

2010 Windshield Arm Crack I'm at 17,000+ miles and still under extended warranty when I spotted the cracking. Talked with my mechanic and they have replaced a few assemblies at the ride's cost, not covered under warranty. When I mentioned others I knew of, he stated BRP does not think it is a...

    RT won't start

Has never been on tender I admit my battery has never been on a tender. After a dozen or so tries at the WOT technique, the bike finally started. Drove over to dealer to discuss with mechanic and he said he has flooded bikes just moving them around the shop. Apparently some are touchier than...

    RT won't start

Last ride 2 weeks ago Have to admit the last ride was about 2 weeks ago. Health and other stuff got in the way. Gas is only 2 weeks old although that doesn't seem to mean much these days. Will see what happens. Thanks everyone!

    RT won't start

Thanks for the suggestion. WOT procedure made no difference. No odor of gas so I don't think it is flooded but still just whirls and will not catch. When my John Deere sounded like this a few weeks back, the spark plugs were fouled. Not sure how that would happen here but looks like I'm...

    RT won't start

Well for the first time since I brought the RT home in April 2010, she has let me down. Went out to start it this morning and it turns over but doesn't "catch" to start. Seems like there is plenty of battery, just whirls and won't catch. When I turned the key off to do the remove and walk...

Water splash off rear tire and gets back wet

We have the 2010 RT A&C SE5 and my passenger has yet to get a wet back when riding in the rain/puddles. Bike is stock as far as windshield, rear tire and deflectors although I have added the Baker air wings as well. If my passenger were getting a wet back on a regular basis I would be informed...

    Quality Survey

My RT has been trouble free except for the known DPS and throttle body issues. In each case, they were quickly resolved by my dealer and Cowtown (throttle body died at SF last year). Yes, there was a few hours of downtime but used that to visit the vendors.;) Diana

I use good old Bug Slide. The HD dealer in town actually carries it so it is convenient when I run out. Diana

How many miles on your current Spyder?

2010 RT A&C 13,000 miles Bought April 2010 (didn't get to ride too much the first couple of years due to work). Around 7,000 miles since last April.

Blown Rear Shock @ 13k Miles

Mine went at just under 11,000 miles and neither warranty or BEST warranty would cover it. ????? Not sure why not but it only cost a couple of hundred to get the shock replaced. Chances are I caused some of the issue myself as I was never fully aware of having to keep air in the air bag and I...

    SpyderFest-Safe at Home

Made it home safe and sound mid-day yesterday after 1504 miles round trip and "excursions in the Ozarks". Sunday was cool and cloudy but mostly dry while yesterday morning the sun was a welcome bright sight for the last 120 miles home! Loved meeting Cruzer Joe, Dave and Teddy and all the...

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

Coming from northern IL, we expect it might be a bit chilly in April but then again, at the end of April it may be hot as well. It's known as spring in the midwest! Last year it was 91 degrees as we rode through St. Louis ad of course this year it was raining and about 50 degrees. It is what...
