• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Single Wheel Trailer Experience

Hi, just thought I would give anyone that is interested in purchasing a trailer for their Spyder a synopsis of my experience with a single wheel model. When I was doing research in looking for a trailer, I found very little first hand opinions regarding single wheel versions so I decided to...

    Hows your rear fender

Mine is the same way I have a hitch on mine which also makes the visual mis-alignment more noticeable. I will try to align it at some point, but right now I have a few other items on my growing list of things that need to be done and this one is towards the bottom. Let us know if you are able...

    BRP HITCH VERTICAL PLAY (looseness)

A Great Hitch Option I would seriously check this one out. What I like about it: -- very heavy duty -- all one piece, so no ability for it to come loose or flex -- no plastic shims - machined to fit snugly and has a locking castle nut -- IMO, its much better looking than others. You can...

    J&S Jack

I love mine I also have a J&S and I think it is an excellent jack - especially with the air power option - worth every penny. Just line it up and hit the switch. I have some 2x8s that I drive up on for the clearance. Thanks for the tip on the oil diverter.

    Helmet Holders

We use the passenger grip rail We do something similar with our modular helmets - we put them on the seat and run a single rubber coated cable through both helmets and a passenger grip rail and use a padlock to secure through the end loops. If it rains while we are out walking or whatever, the...

    Credit card skimmer

Skimmer Scanner After being stung last year by one of these low-lifes with a skimmer, I installed an Android App called "Skimmer Scanner". Before I insert my card, it scans for the BT signal that most of these skimmers use. It may not catch all models of these skimmers, but at least it may...

    HOT

We feel your heat We live a few miles north of Phoenix and are pretty much in the same heat. Our Nova Scotia trip is coming up in a couple of weeks and I have been doing the same make ready stuff on the Spyder - new rear tire, new brakes, oil change, and adding the vibration damper. We are...

What is a reasonable time to wait for a dealer to service your Spyder?

Forums in general... In the past I have belonged to various motorcycle forums pertaining to the bike I was riding at the time. My forum online activity started with the Valkyrie, then Goldwing 1800, then Harleys, then K1600 BMW, and now the Spyder. If I let the conversations on the specific...

modular Shoei Neotec II with Sena SRL

Button action on the SRL My wife and I have the Neotec II with the built-in SRL system and love both the helmets and the communications. We do have a simple setup, mine is paired to the Zumo and we are also paired to each other. We hit the button once when we start the ride and never hit it...

    Another Internet Informed Expert...

Well the wife and I just got back from a great trip from Phoenix area to Sequoia National Park - what a great time. A little warm in the Mohave area for sure, but not too bad. Lots of backroads on the way there via Lake Isabella and the Yokohl Valley via M296 - highly recommend the valley area -...

    Tire Choices

For those of you who have been through multiple rear tires... I am about to put my 3rd tire on the rear. The last one I installed (Yokohama S Drive) I had our local Big O Tire dealer un-mount the factory Kenda and mount the new Yokohama, They could not balance it however since the spyder rim...

LIFTS - anybody here have experience with Pitbull Lifts for an RT?

I use the lift from J&S Jacks made for the RT. It has a protrusion on one of the lift arms that fits neatly in the frame of the Spyder for extra stability. You can use the air option to lift and lower or do it by hand. I can roll it from side to side but not rotate it. The ultimate solution -...

    SM10 Question

Pairing with the 660 I had the exact same setup - up until a couple weeks ago. I decided to load my music onto the 660 and pair it to our 2 helmets. Darn, that doesn't work, I could only pair to one helmet from the GPS. (Maybe there is a way around that - wouldn't matter because read on...)...
