• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many Owners buy the B.E.S.T. Spyder Extended Waurentee Insurance?

I'm several months late on this thread, but . . . when I bought my 2013 RT LTD, new, in 2013, the dealership wanted almost $1600 for the B.E.S.T., so I passed. Then, I discovered, through this forum, that I could buy from any dealer, not just where I bought my Spyder. I searched around and...

    SpyderCodes

It is a shame that BRP is so short sighted. Roger, thanks for all the work you put into this. My future son-in-law writes apps for iPhones, and I've seen how much work is involved, first hand. The whole community owes you their gratitude.

    Over heated upper compartment?

Be sure to check your exhaust system - a leak could add additional heat, there.

Spyder Sightings on the road to Valcourt

I'm leaving for Valcourt on Wednesday morning - meeting a couple friends in Sykesville, MD and we are spending one night near Albany, NY. We will arrive in Valcourt on the 1st of June. Back roads the whole way.

She Barfed! Should I be worried?

Be sure you don't turn the cap on the radiator until the engine is completely cool! Also, there are two detents, to if you do open it, be sure to tighten closed until the second "click"

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

"Topper" - if that name was good enough for Hopalong Cassidy's white ride, it is good enough for mine!

    High Pitched Electrical Noise

From the Owners Guide: "All Models. This vehicle is equipped with an Electronic Throttle Control(ETC). Each time the ignition switch is turned OFF, the ETC motor stays energized for 40minutes. The ETC motor will emit a high frequency sound during this period of time that can be heard in a...

Doc Humphreys RT BELT VIBRATION DAMPER KIT

Doc, I had your tensioner installed on my 2013 RT LTD - picked it up from the dealer on 28 April and had a 65 mile ride home to check it out. Yesterday, I rode with the Maryland Spyder Web, and got to give it a real workout - I have to ride 65 miles, each direction, to and from the meetup...

    GPS Choice

Same thing happened to me, once. I contacted Garmin and they were able to reset what they had in their system for the original owner so that I could register mine - but it took a few days - apparently they checked with the original owner to make sure it was not stolen. I seem to recall Garmin...

    Hacked for the Holy days

As is so often the case with our government, they passed a new law, touting it as something that will make things better, but which, in reality, does nothing of the sort. Our government took the "half-assed" approach - they required card issuers to put the chip in, but didn't require the PIN...

    Rain gear and helmets

The hood on the Frogg Toggs is very thin material, and I've had no problem putting my helmet over it - in fact, it goes on easier because my ears don't get in the way! :roflblack: I've ridden as much as two full days in a row wearing the hood and had no problem.
