• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fitting New Street Magic F4 RT Windshield

Sometimes I really hate this list...... I've been removing the entire windshield & bracket assembly, risking losing the little C-clips that hold the pins in. I never realized the windshield could be replaced without removing the main bracket. Wow, do I feel stupid..... :banghead:

    New Fuel Gauge Going Crazy

Thanks for all of the replies, I'm still not happy about my fuel gauge but at least I feel better knowing that I'm not alone. You know the old saying, misery loves company....

    New Fuel Gauge Going Crazy

My original fuel gauge was unreadable right out of the box, it bounced around something terrible. They finally got me a replacement gauge and replaced it around 3,000 miles. That fixed my bouncing. Until recently. At about 4,000 miles it started bouncing again, not bad but noticable. The...

    Oil Filter Question

OK, a follow up question. I got the correct filter today, installed it and put the 4 quarts of oil in. Doing the oil level check by the book there is no oil at all on the dipstick. Is this possible, to put the required amount of oil in and still be low???

    Milage problem SOLVED

To those with the Two Brothers slip on, have you noticed a stronger exhaust smell when you're riding? I didn't ride mine very long before doing the slip on, but it sure seems like the exhaust smell is strong when riding. On mine, the end of the muffler is about even with the bottom of the...

    Oil Filter Question

Thanks, this is what I figured, I bought 3 filters all the same & all wrong. They sold me part #6741 not 6745. Typical for my luck. Now I have to drive 60+ miles each way to exchange them. Thanks again.

    Oil Filter Question

I am in the middle of an overdue oil change on my RT, the first one I"ve done, I had the 600 mile one done by the dealer. Anyway, I get the old filter out and it is sealed on the end that rests against the outside of the housing. I pulled the new one out of the box and it is identical on both...

    RT HAVE ENOUGH POWER?

I went from an 07 Wing to a Spyder, and it's exactly as the others have said. The power is good enough for me to burn the rear tire in 1st gear, just hammering the throttle at 3-4000 RPM. The power when cruising is just fine. However, since it is a modified sport bike engine the bottom end is...

Charging the RTS through 12 volt outlet

I just took a standard Battery Tender end with the ring terminals (I have lots of them!), cut the rings off and attached a cigarette lighter plug I got from Radio Shack. Easy as pie and works like a champ.

    First impressions of Elka

Did the Elka's get rid of the annoying bounce to the front end? My front end bounces so much it looks like I'm flashing my highbeams constantly. People have actually pulled over when I'm following them thinking I'm trying to tell them something is wrong with their vehicle. I met another RT the...

    Hydroplaning

I disagree on the tire tread design being the problem. I think what is much more likely is that the Spyder has three fairly wide tires combined with very low weight for the amount of tire contact patch. This is the perfect recipe for a tire to ride up on top of the water (floatation) instead of...

SPYDER RTS STEERING PROBLEM - WARNING!

Interesting, my 2009 GS Phantom behaved exactly as you describe your RT-S behaving. Since it only lived for 4 days before getting totalled out, I didn't have a chance to ask about the uncontrollability. My new RT-S is a night & day difference from my old GS, I kind of assumed that the handling...

    RT Clearance

Imagine what would have happened if the plastic hadn't taken the hit: The alternator would have gone under the front end, launching it up in the air. While you were fighting that wild ride, the rear wheel would have hit it, probably destroying the tire & wheel and possibly causing you to...

    Clicking brake

Mine does it too, a very rapid clicking noise like when we were kids (for those of us old enough) and put playing cards on our bicycle spokes. To me it seems like it mainly comes from the left side, but I'm half deaf anyway....

    Corbin Seat Not Unlocking

I had the same exact problem when I first installed my Corbin seat. First, with the new Corbin seat you can easily get to the two bolts that are the seat hinge at the rear of the seat, loosen them up and the seat will easily unlatch. Once I got it open I latched the seat again and tightened...
