• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hard to rider smoothly while in slow moving traffic?

The absence of a clutch in any motorcycle to regulate torque is going to give you a jerky first gear. I ridden several auto bikes and they all suffer the same issue with slow maneuvering on first gear while going less than 10mph. The VFR1200 was specially tricky because it was heavy with lots of...

    Rewiring Lamonster Fog Light Switch

Yes, this would be one option and very simple to do. I tried it but decided not to keep the additional 2 wires because I ran out of friction tape. I like to keep most of my jerry-rigging as close to oem as possible so when I sell the bike the mods are indistinguishable from the originals.

    Rewiring Lamonster Fog Light Switch

The oem wiring available for the switch won't allow you to do anything else other than the stock setup. The "green" wire using the stock oem wiring goes to ground and connected to "NO" on the switch. Once the pole is trigger by closing the switch the circuit is completed because all the...

    2-Up Suggestions? for new F3

As far as the buffeting is concerned, anytime you go with a fixed windshield with little adjustability means one of you will always be uncomfortable. If you go with a really tall screen that covers her, on warmer weather riding solo you will be hot and there's nothing that can be done if you...

2015 F3S BRP Blue Ridge Stealth shield DIY Aluminum mounts

Thanks for posting Jim, I have a couple of questions tho? 1. On full lock (either direction) does the grips make contact with the screen? 2. Have you tested it above 75mph? I'm among those with a 30" inseam where the current setup places the buffeting right on top of your helmet and as a...

    Rewiring Lamonster Fog Light Switch

Turtlesplatter listen to Billybovine advice as he helped me with mine as well. The problem is not the switch but the way BRP triggers the relay to power the fog lights. Furthermore the provided wiring only gives you one choice for the switch led lighting option. Some guys here have bypassed the...

    What is it worth?

You're asking price is retail and Craigslist is where people turn to for deals. The ones I've seen used locally above $13k stay listed until the ad expires and then gets relisted. Unfortunately is a niche bike for a specific rider so if you're willing to stay put ride the price out until summer...

    Madstad windshield.

The Gustafsson is 1" shorter than the BR and it seems to be installed around the same angle as the BR. I don't see any improvement there whatsoever. You could've simply cut 1 or 2 inches off the BR and saved $199 off the price of Gustafsson? Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

F3 with Blue Ridge - Modifications to help with turbulence

Anyone in stature of above 5'4 (1.6 meters) with the BR will experience some type of buffeting. Where it affects you of course depends on your height of course. If you're around 5'7 (1.7 meters) the buffeting will be concentrated right on top of your helmet which is the worst to experience...

F3 with Blue Ridge - Modifications to help with turbulence

MAKE YOUR OWN!! I modded Wunderlich deflector bracket with a homemade screen made out of Lexan. I got the 11x14 sheet which cost $7.98 in HD. Total length is around 30 inches but I still get some buffeting at higher speeds. I'm going to buy another sheet and make it taller with perhaps a...

    Installing H4 headlights

I hear you brother, my vid was a proof of concept for the Houdinis out there but not practical for everyone. Unfortunately, in order for you to properly have access to the headlight assembly everything has to come off except the dash. Even thought I was able to do the whole thing with just the...

Intitial thoughts on my first ride.....and why I went back to the dealer!

Mark's company is in Florida and his design fits mostly mild winters to hot summers. The F4 windshields are better for colder weather as they are taller and wider but pricey. It is inherent of a having such a long belt with a huge rear sprocket. I installed the BRP idler pulley and the...

    Getting to the headlightbulbs F3-S

The lateral console panel needs be slightly re-position in order to gain better access to the headlight housing assembly and the only way to do that is by removing the mirrors and the windshield. The dash doesn't need to come off. LOL! that happened to me while I was working the signature...
