• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Zumo GPS as a radio and bluetooth phone

I had a MC which included a 665 and an IPOD. Music/sound quality and control was definitely better out of the IPOD. If you want to use the 660, create a MP3-named fold and dump your files there. I believe you can use subfolders. The instructions are located on the Zumo forums. Let me know...

    Motherly Advice

Isn't Viagra part of the overall operational cost for riding, e.g., tires, shocks, and other inflatable accessories? ;) Just don't ride over four hours, otherwise call your doctor... QUICK!!!

Unusual Questions You've Been Asked About Your Spyder?

I guess I better start a list of responses when I finally buy one... Is it electric? No, it's a "Roll-Back" Car. The Spyder is powered by a spring in the real-wheel that is wound when the vehicle is pushed backwards. Our Can-Am Club members help each other during the week to get them ready...

    What are these?

Thanks for the info.... I didn't know about the 660LM on the Spyder. Website only says 660 or 590... Anyway, the good news is my wife has recovered from surgery and I can bend my knee after I totaled by two-wheeler.:opps: So next week we plan to go on a test ride and maybe buy a 2016RTL...

    What are these?

IIRC - GARMIN 665, not 660 has antenna for SiriusXM Satellite Radio, NavWeather and NavTraffic (subscriptions required). BTW - Why does Can-Am obtain GPSs, e.g., 660 (2016) and 590 (2017), that are discontinued? Garmin pull a quicky on them?

    Rats!

Had opossum locked in my garage while I was on vacation for three weeks, died behind the freezer. Only could smell him when the fan was running.:dontknow: Took me awhile to locate the bugger.:yikes: Cleanup was a mess.:gaah:

    Rats!

Moth balls in a small container with holes punched into it. Also can be place under decks and porches - will also keep out snakes, opossums, armadillas, groundhogs, nutrias... oh, also moths.

    Motorcycle Lift

Don't have my Spyder.... yet. I wonder how well this would work? http://www.ragepowersports.com/motorcycle-products/mc-jack/ I bought it for cleaning bike wheels. Lift one end at a time and place on ramps or jack stand(s). Maybe I should just go to Harbor Freight and buy the ATV Lift? The...

    GPS Trip Planing

Thanks for the effort. Garmin said "yea, we know about that. Use MapSource." Yea, a product no longer supported. Well, I tried to create trip in BC - save it, import into MS - save it, then export to a Garmin 665. Nope, same problem. I'm seriously looking at a 2016 RTL... comes with a...

    GPS Trip Planing

Sorry, I probably wasn't clear. GE and BASECAMP work fine. The problem occurs when the route is uploaded to the now 665. Whereas the route used to follow the highway I now see straight lines. If I enter and address in the 665, it will correctly map. I would like to use BC to plan some...

    GPS Trip Planing

I have a 665 with my now totaled bike and may soon have a 660 with new Spyder. I like BaseCamp but now routes on trip are shown as a straight lines between waypoints or straight line totally off screen. Garmin says to use MapSource... REALLY!
