• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can you identify these RT foot-plates?

The pic of the white spyder is from the vendor, the other two are mine. They don't bolt to where the normal footpegs are.

Can you identify these RT foot-plates?

Regrettably the seller isn't much help. They are a salvage and removed them from the bike and apparently did not keep all the pieces together. Sigh. I'm afraid I will have to fab up some scrap cardboard as a template and then weld up some steel. Thanks Mike!

Can you identify these RT foot-plates?

Oh, I know you are, and I really appreciate it a lot. I am open to any ideas on these. That picture was sent to me by the seller, it isn't mine. I put them up to my RT before I installed my floorboards and for the life of me, I could not quite see how they would go. I "think" there is something...

Don't Be Fooled! Looking at you DOES NOT mean they SEE you!

I always assume all other vehicles are piloted by this guy.

    Random thought for the day

Seen on a bumper sticker in Ruidoso New Mexico: "If God had wanted Texans to ski he'd have given them a mountain" LOL

Can you identify these RT foot-plates?

I don't think so. I am pretty sure there should be a bracket that is rather similar to Pierre's boards.

Can you identify these RT foot-plates?

I saw those and they ARE similar. I am pretty sure some bracketry is missing from what I have. I may have to homebrew that. Still trying to figure out who made them.

Can you identify these RT foot-plates?

Definitely not home made. Nice exact cuts, chamfered holes, rubber pads and polished aluminum rounded trim on the edges. I know there had to be a bracket that went inside of the air deflector as the plastic certainly couldn't have been used to hold them on. At least not for long. The seller did...

    2024 Tour Planning

65 is a rather good road as well. I take that from Conway up to Nixa when I go. My late brother lived in Nixa.

What Kind of Rider are you?

Rode in all sorts of weather when I was younger. Once behind a semi from Santa Fe over Raton Pass in a snowstorm. Foolish in hindsight but I got there. No heated gear. Bread bags over my military mitts. Here in MS you will get caught in the rain a lot. When I bought the Spyder in Houston I had...

Can you identify these RT foot-plates?

I foolishly bought these off ePay. They were mounted around the vents on a 2011 Spyder RT. I did not get any brackets or screws with them so I am at a complete loss as to how they mount. Can anyone identify and/or provide any info? Also I have no need of them as I now have WebBoards on my RT. TIA!

    Went To Buc-ee's in Atlanta!

Dunno about that, Pearson Rd about where the FuelMan location is, would be ideal. I don't see it happening in Hinds County as they probably could not get their act together on land and taxes. One can dream right? LOL

998cc RT running hotter after coolant flush - did I miss something?

Thanks Peter! I will give it another go in the morning when it's cold outside (low 40's). Hopefully another round will yield a good result. I am almost done rehabbing/modding this RT (low miles but a neglected baby) and will be looking forward to many, many miles of smiles to come!

998cc RT running hotter after coolant flush - did I miss something?

I agree, it's too hard to tell how much is in there. I had to stick an led flashlight down behind it when I checked it. It was on the full line but like I said I burped it anyway. I wish it had returned to normal but I'll take what I get.

998cc RT running hotter after coolant flush - did I miss something?

Well as a follow up I burped it again for about an hour. It never boiled over with the cap off but a lot of bubbles came up (not small, about 1/4 with a few bigger) while I had it up on ramps. I seem to have gained about 1/2 a square bar on the gauge but still not running at 1/2 gauge range like...
