• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode into the Big City, Bend, Oregon, for two doctor appointments. Inhaling smoke from fires NorthWest of us. Hot, sunny day. And I gave the bike some fuel from Costco and splurged, buying 92 octane. Not sure the bike appreciated it.

Knocking in the rear wheel of a Spyder ST Ltd 998 - Any ideas?

Or should we wait for the movie??

So what's the difference, apart from the name? (Coilover springs)

Now after a two year delay, I finally have in my hot little hands a pair of Eibach springs. I went with 350 pound, 10 inch. Hope to install sooner than another two years.

    Hitch installed off-center - Ideas?

Thus far it has been eyeballs only, gauging off the Vredestein’s central tread pattern, itself about an inch wide. I will make haste slowly. Thanks, once again.

    Hitch installed off-center - Ideas?

Gwolf THANK YOU for the thought-full response and suggestions. Never would have crossed my mind. I will have to wait a few days before doing anything. I’ve taken the hitch off, leaving the mounts in place. Welding is far past my knowledge and experience, but I know a few outfits that do that...

    Hitch installed off-center - Ideas?

I took the hitch off; makes me nervous to have it iffy. Might this fall under the category of One of Life's Great Mysteries? I am not experienced with pulling a trailer. If the ball is mounted off-center, what effect might that have? In looking at the hitch, the left side angles inward to the...

    Hitch installed off-center - Ideas?

Wife and I used the tire and the crease in the fender to measure the off-ness.

    Hitch installed off-center - Ideas?

Greetings finally installed the hitch I bought over a year ago. I'm slow; sue me. The off-center problem is the second half, down below. Another question is first: It's the generic, fleabay, hitch. Had to grind away about an eighth of inch on the right swing-arm mount in order to fit in with...

    Replaced the brake fluid.

I give up! What is the bulb in 2014-15 ST Limited fog light?

I know halogens generate heat. I had some Cibie 100 watt halogens, six inches in diamaeter, on a 79 Volvo 242. Could roast marshmallows on that light. Lit up half of Kittitas County. I am puzzled by how LED globes are rated/evaluated. Some have cooling fans built in, which is suggestive of their...

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

Wow! I've told some of my riding friends about this forum I joined when I bought the spyder. Some have found forums that provided similar support; others said they never found a forum they liked. I now have more to boast of. Not boasting about me. Boasting about you-all. Great ideas and...

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

Rear tire was wedged. Parking brake set, too. Bike moved sideways, not backward. Your idea of two jacks has merit. I have a scissor jack and a pump-the-handle floor jack. I'll be back at it later today and I'll use the two jacks. THANK YOU for that idea.

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

Glad you've found a system that works for you. I too used the A arms for the stands; that isn't the challenge. The question/problem is "How does one keep the floor jack from slipping/sliding on the Spyder when under load?" Any suggestions on that topic are muchly appreciated.

I give up! What is the bulb in 2014-15 ST Limited fog light?

According to the Always Correct Internet, an 18 watt LED is the equivalent of a 100 watt halogen. (Wait a minute. Another site says a 70 watt halogen is equal to an 18 watt LED.) Hmmm. And this is watts, not actual heat output. Do I trust the internet? (Not usually. More research is clearly...

I give up! What is the bulb in 2014-15 ST Limited fog light?

Uh, yeah. Wouldn't want THAT to happen! Yours was a halogen, correct? Still curious about wattage and LED globes. See what I did there? You have a profound influence, Peter. Getting an American to change his verbiage or to show any respect for someone from another nation and their word use...
