• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Left headlight stopped working, but the Right headlight is still working - any suggestions on what to look at/try?

Kinda related, but different... I had one of my DRLs in my Buick quit after about 10 years. Advice and instructions for replacing it said to do both at the same time due to different intensity between new and old bulbs. Of course I was skeptical! I replaced the burnt out one with a new bulb and...

Only 2 seasons here in the desert. Sunny and pleasant (winter) and then frying-pan hot (summer). And it seems that every change from one to the other happens in a day or two with not much warning. I guess today could be considered spring because it will only get to 100 degrees. Our current...

    Don't look at your investments!!!

I have a relatively small portfolio. Previously, I would check it almost daily... The same as I do with my bank accounts, just to make sure there is no monkey business happening. I haven't looked at my portfolio since the "tariff scare" set in. I'll wait until the panic is over. I don't need to...

    Random thought for the day

I remember back in the 60s while working for Boeing, Eastman 910 was used for some specific aircraft assembly applications. It was a highly controlled item that could only be used by people trained and certified. Those of us not certified had a very high fear factor instilled by the company...

On a Trail Rating System, I believe a Canyon Redrock can travel Level 2 Routes

I did off-roading on both ATVs and Side-by-Sides for many years here in Arizona. Even some of the most gentle areas can suddenly turn bad, requiring a stop and physically walking an area to plan a vehicle track route. Sometimes even winching! It can be a lot of fun and challenging even for...
