• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Post here if you have over 5000 miles, not kilometers on your Spyder

Over 16,000 on my RT-S, sold the RS with over 10,000. Still think the pins should be a local dealer deal. If I were a dealer, I'd want one more reason for my customers to come back into the shop. For BRP, there can't be much bang for the buck in mailing out individual pins.

    Battery Tender

Couldn't agree more. I put the quick connect rings on my mower. The 12v connector goes into my power outlet in the trunk between rides. I bought the plug online, then promptly ran over it, so I bought a replacement end from Radio Shack. if you don't have another use for either the mini jumper...

    anyone still riding ??

Wow, that's a lot of wear! How many miles do you have on your Spyder? I have a little over 16,000, am riding my second winter, and haven't had anything replaced except for the rear tire. Had it serviced this morning, and every thing still looks nominal. When can I expect to need another sprocket?

    anyone still riding ??

Twelve degrees this morning, but no snow, so off I went to get a new tire on the rear. Still love to ride this thing in the winter. I know there's salt on the road, but last time I checked, washing still gets it off.

    TricLED Customer Service

Reggy for President! This time last year, I'd not even heard of TricLED, but I was reading a post last fall about guys not being sure about whether the fender lights would be too bright or something. Reggy replied that he was so sure that his product would be fine, that he offered five sets to...

    Harley Spyder that never was

Given how much heat we get off the engine on the RT, how would the foot position and pipe position work on this? Seems like the right side pedals are pretty much placed to drive your leg into the pipe. Chaps for everyone?:dontknow:

Looking for cup holders,, Need sugestions

If you don't mind a little logo, the M-Wave is the same construction, but Amazon has it on sale for $9.75, while it's $20 at Bakerbuilt. We have one on our RT, and my wife loves it. I also have a Liquid Caddy swiveling cup holder on the handlebar, which, while not perfect, works well, and can be...

How long have you owned your Spyder and mileage??????

I'm on my 2nd Spyder; my first was a 2008 RS that I bought in Aug 2009. I rode it just over 10,000 miles before trading it in on a 2010 RT-S in April 2010. I'm closing on 12,000 miles on the RT-S.

    Turn Signal:

When I moved to the RT from the RS, this was a big complaint of mine (mentioned it on Lamont's "Future of the RT" thread), but over the past 12,000 miles, it really dropped off the table. Before reading the other replies to the post, I would have said it gets better with time, but I guess now...

Front Cargo Liner - Loose (My Fix)

I'd be concerned about water over the zip ties. The weather strip in mine came nearly completely off. I used silicone sealant to reset it, then gave it up as a bad job and bought a new strip from Spyderpops for $14. Great solution for my money; different design hasn't shown the same propensity...

    Garmin XM antenna

While it's not 9", there is a 2' cable antenna for about $30. http://www.myradiostore.com/antennas-cables/antenna-motorcycle/2-foot-roady-antenna.html. I have mine velcroed on the rear top trunk. Works fine unless riding 2 up, then it's a bit spotty. Also not great riding due south.
