• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil change today, using Rotella T6 & BajaRon's kit!

For no other reason than to chat a little, using the PQIA oil analysis, most of the Delo looks like a good enough product for wet clutch operation with the exception of the SDE version of the DELO 400, and that is strictly an opinion. I prefer new oil tests to show a molybdenum level of less...

Oil change today, using Rotella T6 & BajaRon's kit!

Well if the oil change fixed it, good for you! However, I can't really not fathom how 10,000 mile oil could cause the issue you have cited...unless the oil became highly diluted with something that was less compatible with the clutch disk material than the T6, which I also think unlikely from...

Spyder Motor Oil Query - Soliciting Opinions (((Pics)))

If you check out these pages and consider them a little, you'll will have your answer I believe. FYI, the Moly levels are good for the wet clutch. I've long used T6 and believe it to be very good. In short, you're good to go. http://www.pqiamerica.com/June%202014/shellrotellat6.htm...

So, what do y'all consider "touring"?

Touring or Riding, I have never really considered time or distance the defining criteria, more about riding style for me. I'm "Riding" when I go out and spend almost all of my focus on the road because of the way I'm riding the machine and consider it "Touring" when at a more sedate pace it...

Which one of these RT's to choose?? Choice now made - Deal Done!

Hi Stefanie...Congratulations on your adventure into the Spyder world! I had a similar choice to make not long ago with a few additional considerations. After some thought and not being under any time pressure, I decided to look at low milage used Spyders with a 2018 vintage or newer...

Don’t do too many mods until you ride for awhile?

Well riding a while is a relative thing. After riding two wheels for more than 40 years I purchased a used 2018 F3L with about 2000 miles on it in the Austin TX area. After riding it home about 165 miles, I immediately ordered a 20" MadStad Wind Screen. I also looked into HeliBars as I know...

does a turbo sound appealing to you?

Not sure if the BRP 900 Ace by Ski-Doo is the exact same engine as the Spyders, but the Specs say- Engine: 900 ACE™ Turbo R Engine details: Liquid-cooled, four-stroke D.O.H.C., dry sump, turbocharged Horsepower: 180 Cylinders - Displacement: 3 - 899 cc Bore - Stroke: 73 mm - 69.7 mm Carburation...

Interesting news out of BRP on electrification.

Just an old Japanese bike rider here wanting to suggest a few things for BRP. A) Maybe put your engineers to work on finishing the current product line first before trying product extension to electric. 1. Standardize most bolt sizes. Like not needing two different size wrenches to drain the...

    Time for a hiatus.

:agree: as I had a similar issue on Nov 24, 2018, which caused a stroke limiting my left side movement/usage. Every one is different, but I know of some of the difficulties. God Bless you both and the very best wishes for you and Nancy Kay.

Anyone tried Power Vision 3 on their 2020+ 1330's?

Well let's see, the GS had about 119 HP and 88 lb.ft of torque and a wet weight of 500lbs., the Spyder has 115hp and 97 lb.ft of torque and weighs 900 lbs. with at least 3X rotational mass to accelerate...don't believe enough flashing to get you arrested for indecent exposure is going to close...

    Question on engine oil “overfilled”

Well like you Mike, I'm not a big fan of some of the oil check processes I've read and I typically end my ride with about a 1minute idle while disrobing the riding gear which takes me a little more time to put on while the spyder warms up at an idle. The bike sets turned off maybe another two...
