• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Had 5 of us participate in the Holly Springs Christmas Parade. Unfortunately, the 2 RT's didn't make the run with us. Too many lights on the 2021 Sea to Sky and when it was time for us to pull out, his battery was dead. His brother on the 2024 Sea to Sky stayed with him. They actually ended up...

FS: Well maintained 2021 Spyder RT Limited

We were just talking this morning about riding in the cold. It was 14° this morning and I suggested to them that if they would ride out with me I would buy breakfast. They know how stingy I am and still refused. My all time low for a longer ride was 29°, except for the hour that I was riding up...

What has been your experience with Tire Plug Kits?

I was a rural mail carrier in the early 90's and there were lots of dirt roads with all types of debris in the road. I have plugged up to 5 different holes in tires in one day, never had an issue with them leaking down. I have used it on motorcycle tires on 2 occasions. One of them was on a new...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Found out this morning that the wife thinks it's too cold to ride in the Christmas parade tomorrow. I looked both bikes over this morning and decided that her bike is cleaner than mine, so I will be sporting the F3L in the parade instead of the RTL. Works for me. Gonna go through the decorations...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Got a Christmas parade to be in on Saturday. Would really like to clean it up today, but the temp is going to be around 50° with 25-30 mph winds. Thursday and Friday are supposed to be colder. Decisions, decisions.

Considering a 2012 RT - Any one out there have good words on them?

Although he said he had a 2014, it was an STS Limited. The RT is a little more comfortable on the back. As for picking up a 2012 RT, the V Twin is a good engine, and the 2012 is one of the better ones, as they seem to have gotten most of the earlier issues out. But on the down side, a lot of...

    Elon's New Ride!

I saw that earlier. Unfortunately with A.I. being what it is, who is to say that was an actual video or not?

    'The Lamonster Chronicles'

I have always wanted to run my Spyders on the drag strip, but never got a chance to. I had a 2012 RSS for a period of time, and even though it wasn't, it just felt faster than those that I have owned with the 1330. The way I really figured that out was when I went to VIR and ran my 2016 F3T and...

    'The Lamonster Chronicles'

Are you referring to Doc Humphries? If that is the one, I have one of his racks that he used to sell. If we are talking about the same guy, his wife passed in a spyder accident with a deer. I asked Lamont about him about 3 years ago when he came to the rally in Maggie Valley.

Can Am Spyders Resale value isn't great...

I have a few toys, and they will probably be sold as part of my estate, since I find it hard to part with them. The only reason that I don't have a half dozen bikes in my stable is because the wife would have a fit. I know they will be sold off one day, but just like my cars, trucks, and guns...

Can Am Spyders Resale value isn't great...

You are correct. I don't really think too much about resale, but I do really search for a bargain when it comes to the purchase price. The biggest time I consider resale is when it comes to mods. I know that I will not hold onto many bikes for very long. I have been riding a relatively short 19...

Can Am Spyders Resale value isn't great...

You are so correct. I got a great deal on the 2 Spyders that I currently have. But I am seeing deals out there now that rival the ones that I got 2-3 years ago. I just saw a very low milage F3S for $5500 near me. If the wife wouldn't have my head, I would pick it up for a spare. But I will try...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

About to ride the RTL and the BMW out to get annual inspection done. Supposed to be 74 degrees today, and not sure how many more of those we will get this season. Might give the Spyder a good wash job to prepare for the Christmas parade in 2 weeks.

Can the Passenger Back Rest on a 2025 S2S be moved forward a few inches? Not the whole trunk, just the backrest...

That is for sure. My buddy did an SS1000 with his wife on the back. She fell asleep in short order and woke hours later to ask why her feet were wet. They had ridden through a rain storm and she didn't realize it. That is what I call a 'ride or die' chick, but she stayed on and didn't waver.

Learning to ride this bike: my progress so far

I agree 100%! I have ridden with so many people locally and at the rally in Maggie Valley who have thrown all types of money on their Spyders in the form of shocks, swaybars, etc. And every time I end up waiting for them at the next turnoff. Yes, I did install a swaybar eventually on my 2016...
