• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

This is the same guy that I was searching for a couple of weeks ago. I did a search of options for shipping and renting a u-haul and they were super high. The shipping option was probably the cheapest, but the prices of around $800 that people were getting were not to be found. I will be...

Is it worth swapping my Ryker Sport for a Spyder RT 2019?

If you ride 2 up, your passenger will be forever grateful and in your debt for swapping to an RT. There is no comparing the comfort of riding on the rear of a pre-2020 RT series bike. Even the 2020 and up RT bikes are not as accomidating according to my wife and many who have ridden there on...

Any cautionary tales (about or related to the case/backrest) on a 2017 F3T fitted with the GIVI B47 Top Case with Backrest?

Here is a photo of my 2016 F3L with the givi box. This is also what I used when I did the NorthEast part of my cross country trip from June 1-10. As you can see, it also worked on the K1600B -

What did you do to your Spyder today?

That is for sure. I would only do a test like I did here when I know every little station within 1/2 miles. This type of experiment was a one time deal. I typically fill up when I get to the last 2 bars, even if I know where I am and the next service station. If I am not familiar with the area...

2026 Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally Accomplishment

Congrats and those miles, that is a huge testament to you and the trike. Would you happen to be the guy who rode up with my buddy KK from Raleigh? He went and mentioned that the guy he went with had about 100k miles on his machine. He rides a 2015 F3S and had the shaft break during his trip.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I did a good and bad thing. I decided to ride the 2016 F3L to church and to visit family yesterday. On the way home, I knew that I needed gas, but I wanted to stop at my favorite place, so I pushed the envelope. I knew the low fuel light came on at the last light bar and that would mean 1 gallon...

Any cautionary tales (about or related to the case/backrest) on a 2017 F3T fitted with the GIVI B47 Top Case with Backrest?

I don't have a lot of experience with it, but I have a 2016 F3L Special Series and I mounted a SmoothSpyder (well, I think it is) luggage rack and a 52L Givi box with backrest. I only used it with the wife for one ride, and she loved it. Before that, we had the same dual mode backrest that you...

How I Spent My Summer Vacation

That looks like an interesting trip. I see you will be passing through the heart of NC (Raleigh area). If you message me I could possibly meet you for a meal and some good old southern sweet tea (sorry, it can't be for a beer, but I don't drink). I wanted to head back out west this August...

Comparing how we ride our Spyders - what does your trip meter say??

I typically use Trip A for rides longer than 100 miles, or reset it at each fill up of fuel. Trip B is what I use to keep track of oil changes. I reset it each time I get it serviced. I do that for all my bikes and cars.

A post from Lamont on FB...

I also read this on Facebook. It saddened me, but he knows his state of mind and his limits. But he is also knows the power of prayer and he can best believe that we are all still praying for the best outcome and His will being done.🙏

Need to ship a Spyder from Spearfish, SD to Raleigh, NC - anyone know of a good, fair, shipping option? Any recommendations?

I have a buddy in urgent need for spyder transport. He went to the 3 wheeled Rally in S.D. and just called me to say that his front shaft broke. He is in between deciding if he wants to fix it, junk it, or trade it in. In order to give him some time to make the decision, he would like to get it...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

These are the posts that I love to read. The fact that you have averaged about 10k miles a year is great. I don't do that many on my Spyder, but between my Spyder, my wife's Spyder, and my BMW K1600, I average about 8-10k miles each year also. So many people have bikes with 3-4k miles after 3-5...

My Uncle was hurt in this 2026 RTL Crash!

Prayers for a quick and complete recovery. Thankful that it wasn't any worse and thankful that the person at fault was caught.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode the RTL to Roxboro today for church. It was cloudy and looked like rain, but at least it wasn't in the mid to upper 90's. Did a total of 110 miles before filling it up with premium and bringing it home. It was a great day, and I did not get wet.

2023 vs 2024-26 Spyder RTL - Worth it?

I am a bargain hunter, so I go with whatever gets me the most bang per buck. But just know that each year there are little improvements that they might not even tell you, but they make them due to prior complaints. Things like better cables for the saddle bag latches, better shocks for the...
