• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2012 RT SE5 2+2 Warranty

If it was purchase in July 2012, The factory doubled the 2 year warranty, effectively giving a full 4 year warranty instead of the normal 2 years. So far, it appears that the dealer did not file the paperwork for the extra 2 years. Now they are wanting the put the ball in my court by saying I...

    2012 RT SE5 2+2 Warranty

I bought a 2012 RT SE5 in July of 2012. It came with an additional 2 years warranty at no cost to me. Apparently it was not filed with BRP, and now I can't get warranty work done. Anyone that can give me some pointers will be appreciated.

    Emergency brake dilemma

I am having the same problem. 2012 RT SE5. Pressing the release switch does nothing. Light continues to flash and brake doesn't release. NOTE! I just replaced the battery. I don't know how that could affect it though. When I press the switch, the image of the bike appears (orange) in the bottom...

    2012 RT SE5 Heat

It is the ambient guage. Apparently the one also associated with the readout on the dash. The dealers are unable to correct the problem. I've had the bike 5.5 years an have less than 7000 miles on it. We have a lot of hot weather here. I really enjoy the bike when I can use it.

    2012 RT SE5 Heat

It is only the ambient temp. water (coolant) temp is OK The first dealer said that was the way it was, as the bike wasn't made for heat like we experience in Texas.

    2012 RT SE5 Heat

Thanks. I'll try that. The bike has not shut down, but don't want to ride it with the engine light on.

    2012 RT SE5 Heat

The water temp is OK. My problem is with the temperature to the intake (throttle bodies). At a temp of about 120 degrees, the engine light comes on ( I don't ride much with the ambient temperature of 100 degrees or more). I bought the bike in July 2012, and within 4 hours I had my first failure...

    Gas Mileage

Mileage Mine (2012 RT) gets 29-30. Don't mind it, but would be nice if the fuel tank had more capacity.

    2012 RT SE5 Heat

I have had my RT for 2.5 years. Have had heat problems since day one. It appears that the temp sensor is mounted in a bad place. When it registers high heat, the engine light comes on. It won't give the problem, but a dealer can read the codes. I was hoping BRP would address this problem, but...
