• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Completed my semi annual "lie on my back and add air to the rear tire" routine

Vito1943.....consider yourself lucky to be able to lay on your back to do it. I’m also a ‘43er and would never be able to get back up without some serious assistance.

Is Losing Radio Signal common? Any tips on avoiding loss/recovering signal?

I’m up here on the west coast of Canada, and now live right along the Canada/Washington State border (mountainous area) and have given up on Sirius. Our area is just not conducive to good reception. I have a lifetime membership and Sirius/XM WILL NOT sell me the $5.00 a month subscription. I...

Do we owe Kenda an apology?

I sure don't. The thought never crossed my mind!

    Merry Christmas Everyone.

I’ll chime in on that wish from the lower mainland of British Columbia, or to be more specific, from Chilliwack, BC. I do not put my ‘14 RT-S to bed for the winter. We do have winter (lots of rain, with temps down into the single digits Celcius....for maybe 1 month so I’m licensed year round)...

    Electric Spyder next?

From one Bruce to another.....two Canadian Provinces have already surpassed the 2026 date. Both the Province of Quebec and the Province of Brtish Columbia have reached that goal. To purchase an EV in BC, you’re put on a waiting list....the dealers cannot get them fast enough, and, I might...

    Random thought for the day

Damn.....I always believed that it was the plastic clothes hangers I’ve been using!

How about heated gear - what's your favorite? Any other suggestions?

You haven’t listed what your ride is, nor the year. Looking at the photo, I assume it’s an F3, but no idea on the year. My 2014 RTS has heated grips and they work fantastically. Great heat while on “low”, nut put on “high” and they are just too blamed hot. just my 2 cents

Does any Spyder have Autonomous Braking?

I’m now wondering if since I was specifically asked by my Insurance Company and not my Insurance Broker, that perhaps this is something that BRP is strongly looking at for future Spyders (as in the next year or two). Who knows.....

Does any Spyder have Autonomous Braking?

Isn’t an RTS equivalent? I think that mine is!

Does any Spyder have Autonomous Braking?

The Insurance on my 2014 RTS-SE6 came due for renewal today, and for the first time ever, I was asked if it had autonomous braking. Heck, I don’t even know what autonomous braking is, so I asked. I was told that it was braking that would automatically be applied if I got too close to the...

How's this for Battery Life on our 2014 Spyder RTL!

I got 5 years out of the original OEM battery on my '14 RTS, and felt very fortunate. Prior to that I always replaced every year or two on my other bikes be they Honda’s, Yamaha’s or .......

Looks like it's time to give up the ride - thoughts fm others who've faced this?

I’m in the same league as Vito1943, also being 80, and yes, I too have been wondering if it was time yet. I’m just not ready to do that.... NOT YET. Miata? I’ve given that a lot of thought, but I just don’t think my arthritic bones will fit into one. I’ve never given any thought to a Mini...

I put my Spyder to bed today, for A Long Winter's Sleep!

I don’t think so, having never done it on ANY vehicles that I’ve ever owned.

I have no idea myself, but I’m certainly going to watch this thread.....good luck!

Questioning wearing Ear Plugs while riding

When I’m on my Spyder, the cel phone is turned OFF. I do, however. Have the phone fastened to my quad lock in the event that I need it for navigation purposes. My music, if I want it, is from my iPod.
