• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Dealer Won't Install Car Tires

These dealers read these forums and I'm not a big fan of making enemies with people I may need in the future. Therefore, the dealer will remain anonymous...

    Dealer Won't Install Car Tires

Okay it's everybody's favorite, another tire thread. So I do my research and finally decide on a new rear tire, the Altimax by General. Call dealer to ask if I can have it shipped directly to them and they tell they won't install a car tire on a Spyder. That BRP is saying the harder tires don't...

Anyone sold their Spyder and regretted it

Never owned a street bike. My brothers have had Harleys for forty plus years but I honestly never trusted myself on two wheels after some bad spills on trail bikes as a kid. Enter Can-am Spyder. Bought an 11 RT and it totally changed my life. Ran into some financial trouble and sold it in 2014...

How often should we change the brake fluid?

Okay I'm no mechanic. Don't even change my own oil but I do believe in preventive maintenance. Did I read here we should be changing out the brake fluid every so often?

    Are Car Tires Too Stiff?

Well it's too cold to ride so we might as well talk about tires I guess. Of all the 15" car tires out there I see 225/60 and 215/60 but can't find any that are 225/50 15. So unless we change tire size we seem to be limited to the Kenda, Kumho or the Arachnid. So I did some quick math and here...

How is it possible for some of you to get all that mileage on your Spyder

Geography has definitely played a role in how many miles I get to ride. We lived in Florida for a while and in two years cranked out almost 33,000 miles on our RT. Now back in Maine I'm lucky to get 6,000 a year. Down south it was just a different life. Bike nights. Group rides. Long 300 mile...

    Are Car Tires Too Stiff?

Hey sorry if this is redundant but I'm looking at a rear tire for my 08 GS. Kumho Ecsta AST KU25 All-Season Tire - 225/50R15 91H The sizes are right but does anyone know how a tire rated for 1350 lbs will perform on a 700 lb Spyder? Dealer is saying car tires are too stiff for a Spyder and...

    Floor Boards 2008 GS SE5

I'm thinking I'd like floorboards on my 08 but then again I like the pegs. Aren't pegs better for screaming around corners? I find myself leaning really hard on my pegs when cornering. I had an RT, sold it, then bought this GS and I like the sporty ride a lot better than the cushy ride of the...
