• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Added a driver backrest, LinQ rack, and passenger backrest to my base RT. Really like both the comfort and look of the adds!

Can I add other things (like the cooler) on LinQ rack with pass seat attached?

I added a LinQ rack with a passenger backrest on it to my Spyder RT today. My wife wanted something to help her feel more secure riding on the back of the base model and it was way cheaper than upgrading to an RTL or adding the rear box. But after I got home from the dealer and was looking at...

Thinking about buying a Can Am - looking for advice??

I agree with the Spyder comments. I bought a Ryker 900 when they first came out and loved it (after riding 2 wheels for a long time prior). But I view it as more a "run around town" type machine. I had the rear seat installed and it was comfortable for kids or small adults, but my wife didn't...

New Gadget - Beeline Moto GPS (Pics attached - looks MADE for the Spyder)

I got the Beeline for Christmas and went on my first ride with it today. This is a brilliant device--no big screen to distract me; just an unobtrusive way to keep me on the right route. I went out for an hour this morning and selected "fun route" for my ride. The mapping app chose back roads...

BRP Go disconnecting about 10 minutes into the ride

I have an iPhone 12 and didn't have any problems setting up BRP Go and use it with Sygic maps. At least everything works when I first start my ride--but every ride I've gone on with Sygic on the display, BRP Go disconnects after about 10 or 15 minutes. The only fix I've found is to pull over...

2022 RT making odd noise while stopping - any ideas to help explain to Service tech?

I have a 2022 RT that I've been loving. I'm approaching the 3,000 mile first service and recently noticed an odd noise. I have no intention of trying to fix this (it's still under warranty and I'll be taking it in right after the first of the year for service) but I want to make sure I explain...

VSS Fault at first power-up - anyone else?? Normal??

That's interesting. Now I wonder if it ever did it before I connected my phone--maybe I'll keep my phone disconnected for a while to see if that does anything. So far the only thing I've noticed is it turns off when I release the parking brake. I'll be taking mine for the 3,000 mile service...

VSS Fault at first power-up - anyone else?? Normal??

Thanks for the comments. I'd been on the freeway for about an hour when I stopped for gas--so battery depletion from the last start shouldn't have been an issue. But I'll get the battery load tested and I'll double check the connections are tight. The weird thing is, every time I've gotten the...

VSS Fault at first power-up - anyone else?? Normal??

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm having the same issue on a 2022 RT and curious if you ever found something. On mine, the start will be a little rough and the VSS fault goes away as soon as I release the parking brake. Battery shouldn't be an issue because it's new, and today it happened...

Will Delayed 2022 Orders Come As 2023?

There have been rumors that if Can-Am can't meet the full 2022 orders they accepted, they'll roll forward and ship you a 2023. I believe I also heard they'd give a discount to anyone who has their order rolled-over (but the discount is really just the difference between the 2022 and 2023 price...

Test rode a new Harley Tri-Glide

I was really interested in the TriGlide and Freewheeler for a bit when I was selling my Ryker. I never did a test ride--I just couldn't get over the price jump compared to the RT (which is what I bought). HD has one HUGE advantage over Can-Am--the sheer number of dealers. There's a Harley dealer...

    Vibration destroys stabilisation in phone?

Anything with optical image stabilization can get busted on a motorcycle handlebar - it's not unique to iPhones. Some people never have a problem, others have it break after just a few rides. No matter how you mount it, you're gambling.

2023 rumors - anyone heard anything about the 2023 release?

Did you hear anything from your dealer? With the big price increases, I'm guessing the rebate will just bring the 2023 models back to the price of the 2022 you didn't get.

    2023 Model lineup available

Considering how they e-mailed a few times and were posting all over social media about the August 7 reveal, I expected more. The marketing department drove a lot of hype--but it ended up being a nothing-burger. The price increases aren't insignificant, though. I guess those who were pondering...

    Swishing sound from front wheel

I got my 2022 RT a couple of weeks ago and am past the 200 mile break in time for the brakes--and it was primarily city driving, not freeway. Anyway, I notice a rotational swishing sound from one (or both--hard to tell with a helmet?) of the front wheels. Primarily noticeable at slower speeds in...
