• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    se5 oil leak

The dealer told me today that brp is sending a complete new auto shift box. They have had others with the same problem and over torque of the oil line fitting was the culpret. This stands to reason with what I've seen with the leak so far. Glad to hear it was not the first time it showed up for...

    se5 oil leak

My wife got her very own Spyder a month ago and has only been able to ride it twice now. The oil line which feeds the auto shift case had a leak from it ever since our 100 plus mile ride home from the dealer. Took it to a diffrent dealer closer to the house, still leaking after two weeks in the...

    future group rides

Guess we'll have to plan a midway meet point for our Grove ryder. I pass through there once a month on my jobs route, beautiful area. I was at the Tulsa boat show tonight and saw three diffrent dealers for Spyders there, cool. Asked how many each had sold so far and it was from 3 to several for...

    helmets

When it's cold out no question I'd rather wear my full face Arai for safety and to stay warm. But in the summer when it's 95 to 100 degrees I wear a 3/4. Just got a Shoei Platnium for this summer. Around here sport bikers mostly all wear a full face year round and harleys and cruisers seem to...

    future group rides

As the number of dealers in Oklahoma are now starting to increase so should the number of Spyder owners, so maybe someday soon we can start to organize rides. If people aren't sure what to think about one Spyder going down the road just imagine what the reaction would be by a whole pack o'...

    traditional biker wave?

reply Glad to hear the positive resonses, I won't feel like such a dork when I ride and wave to all like I used to on the Goldwing. Always knew that harley riders were a little cold to non harley riders, but luckily this is not absolute and many are just regular guys, and gals. Didn't really...

    traditional biker wave?

I originally put this under my home states heading by mistake, sorry for the duplication, very few Spyders in Oklahoma. Rode the other day with more bikes on the road than I ever have with my new Spyder, I noticed a distinct lack of the biker wave I'm used to seeing on other bikes I ride. Was...

    Production numbers?

Anybody heard figures on how many 2008 Spyders were produced? Also wondered what the average age of the buyers were and how many experienced riders and new comers there were. May be something BRP isn't telling yet cause of competitors (although, what competitors, nobody comes close to the value...

Gift idea for a Spyder owner?

Low price gifts I already got for my wife's future Spyder were the BRP caliper covers, about 21 bucks and a throttle lock from Industries 7, about 40 bucks. Simple shopping so far, just duplicated the ones I got for my :spyder:. Just hope she doesn't browse this thread now.
