• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone still make a Luggage rack for RS Spyders?

I really hope that I like next edition of Spyder, whether it be an updated F3 or something new, just so I don’t have to deal with stuff no longer available for the RS. I just don’t like the current models.

Does anyone still make a Luggage rack for RS Spyders?

Does anyone still make a luggage rack for RS Spyders? There used to be an aftermarket rack that slid into a rectangular frame made by a sponsor here, but it’s been so long… Thank you in advance.

Do you change the way you ride with a trailer attached? For safety??

Thank you all for input. I was mostly concerned about handling characteristics. By the way, how much weight do you think these hitches can hold? I was thinking about making a golf club bag holder to screw on in place of the ball when I’m not pulling a trailer

Do you change the way you ride with a trailer attached? For safety??

I was wondering if having a trailer attached to your Spyder forces you to change way you ride, for safety? Like when I have a passenger, I feel like I have to turn much slower than I normally do.

What Trailer hitch and wiring harness are you using for your RS Spyder?

Was it BRP or generic cable that you used? Oh, you already mentioned it was from eBay and I think I saw one, but I will have to look under the seat and see what the socket looks like. Thank you thank you.

What Trailer hitch and wiring harness are you using for your RS Spyder?

Was it 4 pins for harness? Do you remember? If you can post or dm the source for harness and hitch, that would be great.

What Trailer hitch and wiring harness are you using for your RS Spyder?

Hello folks. I’m looking to buy a Freedom Trailer for an RS, and I was wondering which hitch people been using? Price ranges from $75 -$588 for BRP's model for an ST, which I would think will fit an RS. BRP's version comes with a harness, but I don’t know if it’s worth buying a 10 year old ‘new’...

At what RPM do you shift on a 988 RSS for mileage

2015 RSS SE5 about 38 mpg on cruise at 76mph, 22 mpg on surface street. 180 miles a tank or 100 miles. I shift at 5000rpm plus when Spyder just starts to come alive and with disconnect air pipe from other side where air filter is, it accelerates little bit better with more growl of air intake noise.

Any Full Synthetic oils that DON'T have issues with clutch slipping? RS V-twin motor

Current RS still has Kenda on but previous 2 RS's, I had aftermarket tires. Current RS didn’t have clutch slippages before and after oil change, plus the rear wheel slippage feels different which happens pretty often, more than Kumho.

Any Full Synthetic oils that DON'T have issues with clutch slipping? RS V-twin motor

I went with Mobil one mostly for convenience of picking them up from Walmart and it is shifting and running beautifully and smoothly without clutch slipping. I guess it was just my luck that both previous RS’s had slippage issues, but not oil related.

Any Full Synthetic oils that DON'T have issues with clutch slipping? RS V-twin motor

Both Mobil One and Castrol met the requirements and state that they're suitable for wet clutch applications, but I was still getting occasional slippage on both RS's. '' I think I'll try Amsoil. I know many swear by it, but I didn’t want to use it because of how it’s marketed... Is a synthetic...

Any Full Synthetic oils that DON'T have issues with clutch slipping? RS V-twin motor

Apologies for yet another oil thread. I’m on my 3rd RS, and on first two I had occasional clutch slipping with Mobil One Motorcycle Synthetic and Castrol Motorcycle Full Synthetic oils. The 3rd and current RS I bought with 10k miles on it. I have not had any slippage yet and it’s due for...

So many complaints about the Spyders. Anyone with no problems?

First spyder 08 RS. Too many problems to list, pretty much had most of known issues including leaky fuel tank , engine rebuilt twice and was in the shop half the time. I used to tell people it’s the best ride ever when it’s not in shop. Big part of problem was dealers didn’t know what to do when...
