• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Goodbye ?

So should this be goodbye Spyder Lovers,? last July I sold my Spyder RT in favour of my 1500 Goldwing with a Tow Pac Insta Trike conversion. I would like to say thank you to everyone that that helped me with questions and problems with my Spyder, I don't know where I would have been without you...

If Honda built a better tryke, would you buy it ??

Bit of a story About a year ago, after selling my Suzuki Borgman 650 exec, I just fancied another bike so I bought a Goldwing 1500, remembering my youth having the 1000cc version, Alas it was too heavy for me and I'm too old and weak for it. Quite by chance I came across TOW PAC Insta trike...

If Honda built a better tryke, would you buy it ??

What's the point in good looks if the machine underneath is a pile of Heath Robinson junk and every service job is a pain in the butt. The Can Am Spyder is not a motorbike it's a computer with some wheels on it, and badly made at that.

    Test ride...

Stumbled across this post while looking for answer to a different problem. I have to differ from most opinions, I find the spyder uncomfortable and badly designed and made, it's clear that the designers are not bikers, Had to buy a comfort seat and fit highway boards or riding was impossble...

    Starter Solenoid Problem Again !!!

This apparently is a common fault on Gold wing 1500, mine did it last week, the solenoid actually jams in the on position, after I replaced it I took the old one apart and sure enough the rod in the centre of the coil was sticking, there was no sign of the high current contacts being stuck...

    why i purchased my spyder

I'm 71 now but 4 years ago felt 2 wheels a passenger and lots of luggage was getting a bit too much for my knees and physical strength, saw a spyder at a local rally and thought what a good idea, saved up and bought a 2014RT, as I rode out of the dealer with it I thought, this was not made by a...

Managed it now, remove bottom plastic plate you can see the nut, squashed plastic outer and screwed bolt in, wd40 unscrew till it starts tighten repeat operation about 50 times and it s out replaced with stainless steel bolt. So easy with frunk off, but for bolt problem, frunk off in less than...

    Plastic encapsulated nuts

I need to remove the frunk to replace the LH headlight bulb (UK model) There are 2 bolts underneath that hold the bottom of the frunk to the chassis, they screw into plastic encapsulated nuts The bolts are not stainless just plain steel, one of the bolts is rusted into the nut, now the nut is...

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

In my opinion the whole bike is shoddily made, everthing only fits where it touches If the body was not curved in front of the foot rests but squared off away from the footrests you could put your feet further forward The original RT seat is the wrong shape for a bike, why not make comfort seat...

    Windshield wash/ wipe update.

My previous FARKLE, now modified, 2 years ago I fitted a wiper and washer to the windshield despite all the input about scratching the screen, but only a few minor scratches as I reckon most people don't fit a wash system, scratches easily removed with headlamp restorer Now modified with new home...

    RT Change headlamp bulbs

I also found that on the frame that fits around the headlights, if you leave the bottom back screws out, (why it needs so many screws in the first place is beyond me), you dont need to take the top side panels off just to change a headlamp bulb, only thing is you must tie a piece of string round...
